To eat a low-carb diet is to go 180 degrees against the conventional dietary advice that has been promulgated by governments across the western world for decades. Yet this is precisely the direction that takes you towards health and longevity. If you continue with the mainstream best practice of a low-fat balanced diet you are likely to end up with diabetes and a host of modern chronic diseases. Welcome to the Matrix.
In this week’s Episode of Living outside the Matrix, Professor Tim Noakes discusses Carbohydrate and the pitfalls of eating too much if you are not genetically ‘carb tolerant’. The picture is a little more complicated than at first one might think, since all vegetables are carbs and no one here is advocating avoiding these. Listen to the podcast to get the whole picture of how a low-carb diet can keep you fit and healthy.
Professor Noakes is a controversial figure in the world of sports nutrition and diet, but only because pursuing the truth these days is controversial. He has long pursued and evidence-based scientific approach in all his thinking, being ostracised and even prosecuted for his commitment to truth and integrity. I consider him a personal hero and a true man of reason. It is inspiring to know there are researchers out there like Dr Noakes.
Previously here at www.lawfulrebel.com, we have exposed the dangers of wheat and whole grains – these, of course, being just the sort of carbs that produce a huge blood sugar level rise. We have also seen the benefits of eating a high-fat diet with Nora Gedgaudas, as well as taking a look at exactly what fats are healthy and which ones are not with Sally Fallon. In this episode (45) we look into the inevitable results of continuously spiking ones insulin level three times a day over several decades and how the low-carb diet can reverse these negative effects.
To complete the picture I recommend looking into the myth of Cholesterol causing heart disease as well. You can eat as many eggs as you like and you can gorge on butter, these are two of the healthiest foods you eat as well. I urge you to get interested in eating a completely different way and plan for longevity and health. Check out the absolute basics with the importance of gut health and the knowledge of Zach Bush and the whole new health paradigm of which he speaks so eloquently. You will benefit handsomely to the degree that you can think for yourself and go against prevailing government advice. You also have to ignore your Doctor to the extent that he/she is conventional. Doctors can be great for disease diagnosis or stitching you together after an accident. But they don’t know how to be healthy.
