  • Episode 161: About Death
Today’s podcast episode is quite intense. As a 21 year-old, thinking about and talking about death shouldn’t happen. It is something that most people my age avoid and are told to not do because we have “so much more life left to live.” However, our conceptions of death can drastically change how we live our lives day-to-day. With this in mind, I recorded today’s episode. This is easily one of the most meaningful episodes I’ve ever done, so I hope you all take 5 minutes to listen. It would mean the world to me. As always, Much Love ❤️

  • Episode 160: Happiness = Reality - Expectations
Today’s podcast was a cool one for me to record and talk through. This “equation” has been stuck in my head for a long time, and ruminating on it has brought me some great clarity on the topic of happiness. In this talk, I break down this “equation” of happiness, what it means at its basic and deeper levels, and why it does NOT mean that you have to be a pessimist to be happy. In fact, as you’ll see, it really means quite the opposite. As always, thanks for your attention and for checking out The Best Podcast. Much Love ❤️

  • Episode 159: A Conversation with James Gilliam
Today’s conversation with James Gilliam is an eye-opening one. His story is one of focused identity formation, grappling with pain and death, transition, faith, embracing struggle, digging deep, and keeping things in perspective. His life experiences are heavy, but the grace with which he has dealt with them and learned from them is to be admired. Although James and I disagree on some points about faith, he is a truly insightful person with a big heart and a thoughtful mind from whom we can learn. I hope that you all enjoy this conversation as much as I did. Much Love ❤️

  • Episode 158: Momentum
Today’s podcast discusses a topic that has never been mentioned on the podcast before. This topic is momentum. Mo • men • tum: the impetus and driving force gained by the development of a process or course of events. Momentum is something that we all want to build. We want to feel like we’re in flow, finishing the things that we want to get done, making progress toward our goals, and just moving forward in general. However, how often do we stop ourselves to think about the things that we do to facilitate us having the momentum we desire? How often do we consider the ways in which we can maintain our momentum? These are questions that we should be asking ourselves, as the positive feelings that come with momentum can bring such great fulfillment and meaning to us. With these immense benefits in mind, I hope that you enjoy my talk about momentum and find the points I mentioned to be relevant. Much Love ❤️ Get after it!

  • Episode 157: Do We Live in a World Full of Doubt and Hate?
Today’s podcast consists of me answering a question that has been lingering within me for some time. In a bit of a scatterbrained response, I answer the question, “How do you constantly stay positive in a world full of doubt and hate?” In the moment, this question really made me think. However, after taking the time to think it through, I found the answer to be quite simple. You can hear my answer by pressing play on today’s episode, so check it out! 😮 As always, Much Love ❤️

  • Episode 156: The Key Duality to Balance for All of Us
Today’s podcast is focused on one of the most important points that I will ever discuss. Balancing the opposing duality of self-love and embracing criticism is essential for all of us to achieve what we want to achieve and to live a deep and meaningful life. This is a topic that I could talk about for hours upon hours, but I condensed it down to nine minutes. Please listen to the entire episode, as I sincerely believe that this message can propel you further forward than you may have imagined before. Thank you so much for your time and your attention. It means the world to me. Much Love ❤️

  • Episode 155: Failure
Over the last few days, I have seen a few posts on social media about leaving failure behind in 2018 as we move into 2019. This podcast’s purpose is to call out that way of thinking. If we are to succeed in 2019, we cannot leave failure behind, as it is the key experience that will push us toward the success that we are seeking. We need to bring it with us, and we need to embrace it. Failure is a critical instrument for advancement, and we need to harness its power to achieve the goals that we want in this new year. As always, much love for all ❤️

  • Episode 154: My Daily Journal
Today’s podcast is of high importance for me. As we bring in the new year, it’s so important to be reflective and to put routines in place to make ourselves better. So in today’s episode, I discuss my routine of morning and nightly questions that I have in place to be more reflective and effective. I go through each question and explain the importance of each one. I hope that you tune in and find it helpful! As always, Much Love ❤️

  • Episode 153: The Consequences of Our Beliefs
I’m very happy to be back today with this podcast episode. This is a reading of an article that I wrote just before Christmas, as the topic was something that was coming up over and over again consistently in my conversations. Since then, it has continued to come up and solidify its importance to me. Our beliefs are things that we all take very seriously, but we must be able to take a step back to understand the consequences of them and what they actually mean. These consequences of our beliefs are both direct and indirect, and understanding them all, especially the indirect ones that we don’t see as tangibly, is essential. Much Love ❤️

  • Episode 152: Thoughtfulness
Be thoughtful. Don’t be afraid to get deep. Don’t be afraid of thinking too much. Don’t be afraid to challenge yourself and to challenge others to think. Don’t be afraid to push back on the reasons why something can be rationalized. Don’t be afraid to go beyond first-order consequences when thinking about the magnitude of a certain act or belief. And don’t settle for having doubts or not achieving full clarity about something. As always, thanks for tuning in. It means the world. I hope that you ALL have a great holiday season, a time when we should all be thoughtful. Cheers. Much Love. ❤️
