Take a walk down the Green carpet for the 2018 Goannas (formerly the Lomus), including the coveted Big Don't Argue of the year, as well as the usual awards for best player, coach, signing, try, grub, loafer, cat and off-field boof. The lads also belatedly review the 2018 NRL Grand Final.

With Adrian stuck in transit, Joe and Chris shoulder charge the most Fekiest of finals games, Sharks v Storm and Souths v Roosters. The lads tear a rotator cuff debating the intricacies of Billy the Kid's upcoming tribunal appearance and review the Roosters dominance of the so-called Pride of the League. We also take a look at the NRL Women's semi finals and the big dance next week.

Joe and Chris hit up the two incredibly close NRL elimination finals, both decided by field goals (or in Adam Reynolds' case, three of them). We review all the heroic plays such as Fifita and Kikau's barnstorming runs, Tyson Frizell's masterful pickpocketing, as well as the coach-killers - Waqa Blake and Hunt each throwing (or more accurately, running) away their teams' chances at the 2018 premiership. We also consider Crichton 2.0 (but with a more appropriate haircut) Cameron Murray and his timely blossoming at the top level. The squad also takes a captain's run at the grudge matches next week, as well as covering the latest round of the NRL Womens' competition.

A tale of two Sims. With the planets aligned, Joe and Chris make a return to the Podderdome to dissect Week 1 of the NRL finals series, starting with the new classic, Storm v Bunnies. The lads also consider the Broncos descent into mindless grubbery in their loss to the Dragons (back in the Hunt for a premiership), the wizened wizardry of Maloney and the Napoleon-like generalship of the Roosters by Cooper Cronk.

The gang takes the BDA podcast on the road again and conducts a lively discussion of the latest round of NRL action, including success for the NRL's amphibian menagerie of the Sea Eagles, Sharks and Eels. Joe also analyses the increasingly compelling race to avoid the spoon, and Adrian rants about Player-Referees.

After a lengthy mid-season suspension, Joe and Chris return to the field (carry-over king Adrian is still out) to review a top week of NRL action, including a new classic "don't argue" by podcast favourite Jason Taumololo as well as ruminations on why refs are so endangered and Souths are so annoying. Speaking of all things Rusty Crowe, our resident Beautiful Mind also runs the numbers of the for and against of the NRL ladder with some surprising results.

The lads review the latest round of the NRL, with lowlights including in depth consideration of Cameron Smith's fake smile and Ricky Stuart's rage levels. We also look at Best Shanks (c) of this round and the key nominees of Will Smith and Lattrell Mitchell. We also look forward to the round ahead as well as to Game 3 of the 2018 Origin Series.

Basking in the strange phenomenon of a Blues series victory, the lads review the heroes and Hunts of both teams and discuss all the key moments, from the penalty try to Jimmy the Jet's grounding, as well as looking forward as the toads search for a win in Game 3. The team jumps from Lenin's Tomb in Homebush to the hallowed turf of North Sydney Oval (vale Bears) to chat through the Women's Origin game.  Not to be forgotten, we praise the Pacific Tests (Fiji v PNG and Tonga v Samoa) (listen out for Adrian's shriek impression) and join the mile high club with England v NZ in the land of the free (and home of brave anthem singers).

After a pre-game dissection of Choc Watmough's musings on all things DCE, Chris and Joe breakdown the latest round of NRL action, joined by the dilatory curmudgeon, Adrian. The Raiders' new found cricket skills are discussed and the Rooster's calm de-clawing of the choccie soldiers warms Adrian's frozen heart. The lads also peer through the microscope at the Blues lineup for Origin game 2 as well as the representative round: Womens' State of Origin, PNG v Fiji, Tonga v Samoa and the All-American clash between NZ and England.

NRL Round 14: BDA actuary Joe crunches the numbers and compares Game 1 at the 'G to Round 14 in Clubland: is it apples and Origin?  The lads marvel at Canberra's unique ability to throw away games as well as the continued troubles at the Bulldogs and Sea-Eagles. Meanwhile, Chris has somewhat of a spring in his step as the Hayne Plan makes it out of the hanger for the first time in 2018.
