March 03 Early College Football Playoff picks for 2026: Big Ten depth, 2 elite SEC teams and some shockers
College Football Playoff picks for 2026 are the topic of this episode of The Bill and Doug Show. Yes, it's early, but it's worth it to get thoughts down before spring football gets into full swing.

A year ago, Bill and Doug did this and it wasn't great: Bill got four playoff teams right and Doug got three. But isn't understanding why you were wrong part of the battle?

This episode runs through how much deeper the Big Ten might be than the SEC, how to think about teams with big transfer classes, and what is the expected number of 2025 playoff teams that will make it back in 2026?
Plus, does the Big Ten really have three playoff locks these days?
Thanks for joining The Bill and Doug Show.

February 24 Ohio State's Bo Jackson and can he avoid the Buckeye Curse for Year 2 running backs?
Last season, Bo Jackson became the fifth Ohio State true freshman to rush for 1,000 yards. The second year for the other four didn't go as well as Year 1. Two didn't play (Jackson is on track on avoid that) and the other two saw a dropoff. So based on not just OSU freshmen running backs, but all Power 4 running backs of the last decade who rushed for 1,000 yards as freshmen, what should we be on the lookoff for in Year 2 of Jackson? Bill Landis, who also wrote about this on Substack, and Doug Lesmerises break it down on the latest episode. For more OSU coverage, check out billanddougosu.substack.com.
