What are the best defenses in the College Football Playoff? On this episode, Bill Landis and Doug Lesmerises draft all eight defenses remaining in the national championship chase, talk about which teams really are Natty caliber on that side of the ball, and make a difficult choice about what is really the No. 1 defense remaining. Thanks for joining The Bill and Doug Show.

Ohio State's defense is the focus of this episode of The Bill and Doug Show after defensive coordinator Matt Patricia and defensive players Sonny Styles, Lorenzo Styles Jr., Kenyatta Jackson and Kayden McDonald met with reporters on Monday evening. Doug Lesmerises and Bill Landis eagerly focus on the topic they've been waiting to ask Patricia about -- the decrease in Arvell Reese's pass rush opportunities and production in the second half of the season and strategy behind it. They got a lot of their questions answers and broke it all down right here. Ryan Day, Jeremiah Smith, Julian Sayin, Max Klare and Carson Hinzman spoke with reporters Monday to preview Ohio State's Cotton Bowl matchup with Miami in a College Football Playoff quarterfinal, and Doug Lesmerises and Bill Landis broke down the three most important things they learned from the Buckeyes:

* What Day said about the plan for calling plays in the Cotton Bowl

* Who will start at right guard?

* The health of Smith and how he felt in the Michigan game and how he feels now

Thanks as always for joining The Bill and Doug Show, and on Tuesday look for updates from the defensive side of the ball for the Buckeyes.

It's the final position group breakdown and grades for the Ohio State Buckeyes, as Bill Landis and Doug Lesmerises run through Davison Igbinosun, Jermaine Mathews, Lorenzo Styles Jr. and the rest of the Buckeyes' cornerbacks. How do things right now compare to the run from 2014 to 2019 when Ohio State had a future first-round draft pick at corner on the field almost every season? How should the Buckeyes feel at corner heading into the playoff? How young might the position be next year? Thanks for following along on all these position group breakdowns. Will Kacmarek and Max Klare have emerged as a pretty interesting tight end combo for the Buckeyes this season. But has Ohio State fallen in love with its tight ends too much? On this episode of The Bill and Doug Show, the tight ends get graded, with Bennett Christian, Jelani Thurman and Nate Roberts discussed along with the top two. How good are Kacmarek and Klare? What does the future look like for Roberts? Will the Buckeyes use three and four tight-end groupings less in the playoff? That and more tight end talk from Bill Landis and Doug Lesmerises. Thanks for hanging out with us.

There's a huge discussion about Sonny Styles and Arvell Reese as the Ohio State linebackers room get graded on this episode of The Bill and Doug Show. Bill has an intriguing opinion about who might actually be the best Buckeyes' linebacker. And when you think how far Ohio State linebackers have come in the last several years -- could Reese and Styles make this the best group of OSU linebackers in two decades? Thanks for joining another position group breakdown on The Bill and Doug Show.
