The Black Baseball Mixtape

Every Thursday night, Cheats (Black Baseball Mixtape) goes on IG live with former MLB player Lewis Brinson and their special guest. This week's guest is Santos of The Baseball Aficionado. Together, they talk about the Rafael Devers situation and his ongoing slump. Could the Red Sox have done more to make the transition easier? They also talk about torpedo bats and if they present an unfair advantage to the players who use them. They also discuss their surprise teams and players of the early season. This episode features three baseball experts talking about the game at a high level in a relatable way.

The crew has a lot to discuss this week. Cheats spent the weekend at the Andre Dawson Classic at the Jackie Robinson Training Complex in Vero Beach. He discussed the eight-team, three-day slot of games and toured historic Dogertaown. The crew also talked about early standouts of spring training, the Yankees policy changes, and the split between MLB and ESPN. Lots of great Black baseball talk in this episode.
