Then its on the QT, the down-low and all very hush hush as we revisit LA Confidential.

This week Elton remains spoiler free from Walking Dead, Jim dives headlong into international horror films and watches Dr Strange to boot, Darren also watches Dr Strange, then crashes out on on Pete Hammonds sofa, while Lee recounts watching an orchestra watch Aliens while he did the same thing, getting bits of firework in the mouth and putting up a blind… Oh and gushing over Mass Effect which bothers no one else. Then its on to this weeks movie, a Mystery Monocle for us all the psychological thriller / horror cult film Session 9.

Jim gets his Saxon… on…, Elton and Darren cosplay it up not before Darren has a DIY accident worthy of cast history and Lee gets scared by 9 year olds dressed as Star Wars villains. Then its off to the toy shop to find a puzzle box… It might stick hooks in your face but its more addictive than Jenga Yes horror month continues into week 5 with Hellraiser

This week an ill Jim musically time travels back to the 80s, Elton gears up for a comic con appearance, Darren gets cross at the cinematic fashion industry and Lee regrets being friends to the animals… and technical issues… Then we continue on with our X amount of weeks of horror with Peter Jackson / Robert Zemekis’s horror comedy The Frighteners.

This week, Jim gets the beef sweats and stalks zombies in the dark, Elton watches cowboys and cash for his car fly out of his account, Lee watches zombie children, cowboys and the most ineffectual super team movie in recent memory and Darren…? Well… Lets just say he has a lot on his mind… After that we move on to our second week of horror with the 70s classic demonic child movie and progenitor of many a “novelty death” movie The Omen.

Welcome to this weeks Black Dog Podcast, this week we start our 4 weeks of horror season with Halloween but not before we hear about Jim entering cyberspace like Lawnmower Man, Elton, becoming the worlds most hated raffle ticket announcer, Darrens alcoholism progress and dislike of loud music in pubs and Lee getting covered in shit and blasted out of his skull on caffeine and a distinct lack of sleep.

This week Jim discovers Parks & Rec, Elton worries about hot curries and Noel Edmonds mental state, Darren attends a disappointing SF convention in Bromley High Street and also goes in search of some Titus Andromadon action, while Lee also attends a SF con, a science con, the V&A and laments the lack of an abandoned island in Arrow. Then we move on to this weeks Educating Elton movie, Quentin Tarantinos Pulp Fiction.

Welcome back to the Black Dog Podcast, this week we talk prop making, mad men, the failings of Battlestar Galactica season 3, one man star wars performances, birthdays, hunting down Nicholas Parsons, hanging on a webcams, unreal deadlines, drunken owls, Doom, how comfy Lee’s sofa is and the Black Dog Shindig 2016 Then after some more tangents and silliness we move on to the first of our Educating Elton season where Mr McManus is shown a classic movie for the first time. This week we start with the German submarine drama Das Boot.

This week on the eve of the Shindig, we confirm exactly where we’re having the blumming thing and I throw the stupid venue that let us down under the bus. In other news Jim hits the gin, Elton becomes obsessed with pouring rubber over everything, murderers and stealing netflix accounts, while Lee punches people in the nose and shows his arse to tourists at Kings Cross…. No Darren this week as he is off hunting hipsters like The Punisher but with less tolerance for food served on shovels. Then we move on to our film this week as a tribute to recently deceased Gene Wilder, we revisit Young Frankenstein.

Welcome back to the Black dog podcast.
