Welcome to part 1 of episode 175 of the Black Dog Podcast. As its the first of the five weeks of horror, we are joined, as is tradition by Mr Jim Moon. This week we discuss such diverse subjects as being stalked by monsters in Gurnsea, OAP Zumba and exploding nuclear porridge. Then after what can charitably be called news, the guys discuss Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. roll out a sh*tty super hero of their own and deliver another entry in the profanasaurus. After all of that its time to start the 5 Weeks of Horror discussing the Christopher Lee / Peter Cushing 1972 movie Horror Express. Will it be first class or will it be cancelled due to rolling stock defects?

This week Lee talks sleep deprivation and losing the ability to recognise tea. While Darren laments being the oldest swinger in town and pussy proofing his house and both guys appreciate the story of online zombie gamer griefing by one of their loyal listeners. Then after a lacklustre collection of news, a collection of unfortunate sweeping statements about fantasy movies by Lee and an attack by a moth the size of a bat, the guys settle down to the usual heady mix of Sh*tty superheroes and a celebration of all things profane by Jim Moon. But the joy of profanity does not end there as the guys move on to reviewing the political satire In the Loop

In this weeks episode Lee and Darren are joined by the Shonky Lab’s Elton McManus and Hypnobobs Jim Moon as they discuss such varied topics as… Dogs driving busses, cat dirty protests, woolly hatted murderers, exploding visual fx, GTA V, Tim Burgess coffee shop openings, The Sweeney, making music on a tablet and a cubicle of unspeakable filth. Then after a news segment which should be simply be called “the guessing section” and a S*itty Superhero and Profannasaurus its on to the main event. Will Agents Medcalf, Barnard, Moon and McManus uncover the glorious truth or will they simply be gnawing on the conspiracy theory as they review The X-Files movie and try and work out the survival chances of a well trained bee.

This week Lee and Darren talk late night brothel watching, booze free pub crawls, foot long sandwiches, chillis and tinkers, taylors, soldiers and spies. Then after a bad news week for DC Comics and introducing a new rumour mill fact evaluation measurement scale for Star Wars 7 rumour stories. The guys turn the floor over to Mr Jim Moon for the latest Profanasaurus, which is swiftly followed by the grossest sh*tty superhero in the segments history. Finally once all the bile has settled the guys and the feedbackers turn their attention on to John Woo’s last great Hong Kong actioner Hard Boiled. Will Tequila make them happy? Listen and find out.

This week we celebrate our fourth anniversary with discussion about drinking, birthdays, multi present awkardness, video games and some cinema going with Darren watching Rush and Alan Partridge Alpha Pappa. Then after a bit of Xfiles discussion ahead of the three cast cross over event with The Shonky Lab and Hypnobobs, chat returns to the news with lots of ums, ahs and maybes regarding the latest casting rumours for Star Wars Episode 7 and Avengers 2: Age of Ultron. Then after a Jim Moon profanasaurus entry and a crockery based sh*tty superhero we move on to Spawn, a review with much exasperation and apologising…
