Ep: 1 Discovering True Self: Unconfronted Shadows, Icy Egos, And The Noble Fall To Self-Acceptance
Rainier Wylde is a writer and teacher who helps people find themselves fully and deeply alive in the present moment. He was a therapist, a professor in psychology, a spiritual director, and host of the podcast Lost Man Standing. He also worked as a landscaper, a warehouse worker, and an abject failure, which has made him realize that living is much more than just a job. Rainier believes that people should be constantly moving and exploring in order to stay alive and finds it odd when people say that their job defines their life. He encourages people to find a connection to themselves, others, and the world around them for a more fulfilling life.
This episode explores people who are in relationships with their business partners. They discuss how their relationships have led to the discovery of their true passions in life. They talk about how it's important to not attach your passion to money, as it can lead to burnout and loss of interest. Instead, they suggest living life to the fullest and embracing who you are and what you're passionate about.
The conversations highlight the importance of following your passion and living life without attaching it to money.
The conversation with Rainier is about the importance of understanding one’s true self, and the need to confront one’s shadow self. Rainier explains that he spent much of his life trying to live up to the expectations of others, particularly his father, and in the process, he ended up burying his true self and forming a protective layer of ego.
Rainier talks about how failure and hardship were the cracks in the ice that allowed him to start to confront his shadow self. Rainier encourages others to be brave enough to confront their shadows and to be honest with themselves about who they really are and what they really want.

Exploring Blind Leaps Through Experience: The Story Of Two Who Transformed Their Lives
Bradley and Jennifer are the hosts of the Blind Lead podcast, which used to be called the NBS by BSF podcast. The podcast has gone through a transformation and will now focus on self-development, finding one's voice, and hearing from people who have taken massive blind leaps. Over the last 18 months, both of them have gone through personal shifts, which is what inspired the name of the podcast. Bradley and Jennifer have gone through career and personal transitions, and now the two of them will kick off the new season of the podcast by talking a bit about their own stories.
Jennifer is vice president of development at NBS, a nutrition startup. She left a nonprofit fundraising job after 18 years and is passionate about helping their clients with weight loss and nutrition. She explains how the first of the month can be a scary time for a small business as everything resets to zero. Bradley and Jennifer didn't know what they were doing when they first got together but overcame the obstacles and are now in a loving and fulfilling relationship.
Jennifer and Bradley are an example of making a bold decision to pursue a relationship despite the risks. They are in a long-distance relationship, living in two different states, but also not long-distance due to them having homes in both locations. They talk about how making decisions in life comes with consequences, and how they are aware of both the good and the bad that came from their decision to be together. They are both very fulfilled in their partnership, which is the most fulfilling of any relationship either of them has been in. They talk about shooting each other straight, and how Jennifer is the more eloquent and polished of the two. They emphasize taking personal responsibility for their decisions and the consequences that come with it.
Jennifer and Bradley have a unique and difficult story of leaving their marriages in order to find true happiness. Bradley explains that the decision to leave was not for Jennifer, but for himself, and that it was a blind leap with no safety net or guarantee of success. Jennifer adds that if you wait for a sign or an exit strategy, you will never be ready for the leap of faith. They both agree that taking that blind leap was terrifying, but ultimately the only way to find true happiness. Bradley also emphasizes that there was a cost to leaving, both financially and emotionally, but that it was worth it to take a chance on happiness.
