The Senate voted to approve Assembly Bill 28, which would require manufacturers, vendors and dealers to pay an 11% tax on guns and ammunition to fund violence prevention efforts. The Democratic Party’s House leader Nancy Pelosi announced that she would seek re-election in 2024. The mother of former Proud Boys leader Enrique “Henry” Tarrio spoke up to maintain her son’s innocence insisting that he didn’t play a serious part in the attack. The Biden Administration restricted U.S. oil and gas development in Alaska after Saudi Arabia and Russia extended their production cuts causing oil prices to rise.
