August 12, 2021 Monique Smit | Ep.77
Monique spoke with Jonny, at Corballis Golf Club, all about how her dad and grandad got Monique into golf at the age of 11, representing South Africa, turning professional, winning on tour, losing her mother to cancer and battling a serious hip injury and firing her coach!
Monique Smit is a South African pro golfer, currently playing on the Ladies European Tour (LET). She was runner-up at the 2020 South African Women's Open & won the 2020 Sunshine Ladies Tour Order of Merit.
Monique spoke all about how her dad and grandad got Monique into golf at the age of 11 before deciding, at 13 to make golf her career.
Monique's career took off from there, representing South Africa at youth level before turning professional in 2012 with her mum on the bag and joining the LET.
She secured her first professional win on the 2014 Sunshine Ladies Tour, at the Dimension Data Ladies Pro-Am, setting a new course record of 63 at Oubaai Golf Club. In 2016, she won the Tshwane Ladies Open before an injury caused a four-year lay-off from tour as she also went and completed her PGA.
In 2019, tragedy hit as Monique's mother passed away due to cancer, right at the same time as Monique began to stage her comeback, Smit earned her full LET card for 2020 at Q School winning a four-way playoff for the 20th and last card.
Monique hit another setback as she was dealt a hip injury due to a drill her former coach gave her. Monique is currently awaiting surgery and looks set to be away from the tour until April 2022.

August 05, 2021 Dave is a caddy & The Ryder Cup is coming | Ep.76
Dave caddied for Hannah Burke at the ISPS HANDA World Invitational last week, he recapped the event from his perspective, how it was caddying and lots more!
Jonny had a playing lesson with Mark O'Mahony and is starting to see light at the end of the tunnel.
The boys also recap Rory's recent statement on the Olympics and how great it is that Rory is always so honest in interviews and isn't afraid to backtrack when he realizes he's wrong.
The Ryder Cup is fast approaching and as Shane appears to be safely within the automatic selection, this week at the WGC in Memphis is important for him, but also for players on the periphery such as Robert Macintyre.
Our new video series 'Tee Time' has gone live! The trailer was published to our YouTube and social channels this week, with episode 1 set to go live on Wednesday 11th August.

July 23, 2021 St. Patricks Links at Rosapenna | Ep.75
Dave played the newest course at the Rosapenna resort, the St. Patricks Link designed by Tom Doak and gave us his thoughts on the course, how it plays, what makes it unique and how it fits in with the other two courses on site, Sandy Hills and Old Tom.
The St Patrick's Links is routed in the adjoining dune system just south of the existing two courses at Rosapenna. It sits on some magnificent links land - huge scale, west coast of Ireland scenery, with enough variety in dimension to present a real diversity of golf holes.
According to the course website "The routing takes golfers on a journey through huge dunes, to high above Sheephaven Bay, along the coast, then back over some more gentle dunes... and that's just the front nine! With plenty of width and an eclectic mix of naturalised bunkers, the course is unlike anything in the UK & Ireland..."
The St Patrick's Links is now officially open for visitor play.
