One of the most frightening realizations in life is that too many of us are being stripped of our beautiful creative side. It’s far too easy to be institutionalized by a world that pressures us into careers that guarantee we’ll make a living even if we really don’t like what we’re doing…sounds like breaking into jail for me. So in whatever capacity you can express and pursue your creative ideas, full time or part time, you must if you intend on living a fulfilling life that is truly the identity your were born to be.

Many of us spend time trying to find an external force that motivates and inspires us into taking action steps that lead us to a better life. The truth is that unless we have a real reason “why” we want or need to do anything in particular we may find that motivation and inspiration fall flat and don’t work. However, when there’s a real meaningful “why” motivation and inspiration might be the perfect fuel for the engine.

We live in such a heightened state of anxiety and frustration and perhaps we never consider that there might be some simple things we can do to bring ourselves to a more relaxed and happy state. Perhaps if we would simply practice forgiving others and ourselves, stop trying to keep up with others and finally see ourselves at our best we would find peace of mind and relaxation!

I lost my little dog Louie this week and I’m heartbroken. You might think I’m crazy to do a podcast about him so fast but that’s the point…he’s left me with a critical lesson about unconditional love. No matter what tough spot in life I was facing I could always find solace in him, holding him, laying with him, sleeping with him and talking to him on the regular. Although there have been and will be many tears as I mourn this loss I share with you the gratitude I have for having been loved and to have loved him back unconditionally.

People that see you as overly ambitious versus themselves will tend to talk you down by telling you that you’re doing too much. Instead of listening blindly to them and thwarting your growth, focus on what must get done to reach your goals and systematize the use of your own time to do only what matters and is effective. Then grow more time by delegating the execution of what must get done to other qualified, specially skilled people who are looking for opportunity. That’s how to do “too much” without failing!

We spend an enormous amount of time in our lives reacting to what’s happening to us. Often times we don’t like those things so we end up reacting negatively and that saps our energy, depresses us and dangerously pulls us closer to the edge of the abyss. So take action and be aggressive by being proactive and curious like a child.
