The crowd was buzzing with anticipation. Charlie would be taking any and all questions, typically inviting those who disagreed to come to the front of the line as he advocated for the biblical worldview and conservative values. Countless videos show him doing this all over the country—conversing and debating the prominent issues of our day: abortion, gender, marriage, sexuality, economics, and politics. Charlie was one of the most well-known and influential conservative in the world. Just minutes into the event, a shot rang out from a rooftop sniper position, fatally striking Charlie in the neck. Mayhem ensued as he was pulled into a nearby vehicle and rushed to the hospital. Despite the doctors’ best efforts, Charlie Kirk died—assassinated by Tyler Robinson, a leftist who hated Charlie’s worldview. Standing within 25 feet of Charlie when he was shot was well-known Christian apologist Frank Turek. Frank was one of Charlie’s mentors and had helped him learn how to give reasonable, biblical answers to the questions he fielded. Fundamentally, the divide we see and feel in our society is between one side that believes in God and adheres to the framework He established versus another side that rejects the biblical worldview and promotes what is right in their own eyes. Frankly, this shouldn’t surprise us, as it’s been the story of mankind from the very beginning. What God establishes, man rejects and rebels. Satan falsely promised Eve that eating the forbidden fruit would lead to wisdom and liberation but the opposite occurred—shame, enslavement, and ultimately death. Number 3: Covid, Charlie Kirk, and the Battle for Truth
Send us Fan Mail GUEST: STEVE DEACE, host of the “Steve Deace Show” and a columnist for Blaze Media From the very beginning, the souls of men have been the target of a mostly unseen spiritual war. On one side stands the fallen angel Satan and the legions of demons who followed him in rebellion against God. On the other stands the perfectly holy and good God and His holy angels. The first glimpse of this war appears in the Garden of Eden. There Satan, appearing as a beautiful serpent, tempted Adam and Eve to reject God. He lied, telling them that eating from the forbidden tree would not lead to death but would make them like God, “knowing good and evil.” The primary descriptor of Satan is that he is a liar. He relentlessly and maliciously twists the truth to lead men and women astray—and ultimately to destroy them. If he can persuade someone to believe a lie—any lie—that results in their deception and death before they repent and come to saving faith in Christ, that is a victory for him. Whether the unsaved realize it or not, Satan often works through people—including nice-sounding, well-dressed, educated individuals in prominent positions—to twist the truth and lead others astray. For Christians, the ability to discern between what is true and what is false is critical. Jesus warned that as we near the end times, this discernment will only become more difficult: “For false Christs and false prophets will arise and will show great signs and wonders, so as to mislead, if possible, even the elect” (Matthew 24:24). A recent period that dramatically illustrated the need for discernment was the COVID pandemic of 2020–2022. In rapid succession, masking was urged and then mandated for everyone, including children. Later in 2020, a vaccine was released under Emergency Use Authorization as part of “Operation Warp Speed.” Young and old, including pregnant women, were expected—often through intimidation or shame—to receive an injection with no long-term history and very limited testing. For two years the country took on authoritarian characteristics. Families were barred from visiting loved ones in hospitals and care facilities. Schools, businesses, and churches were ordered closed. Citizens and members of the military lost their jobs for refusing the vaccine. Many reported that loved ones died or were injured after receiving it. It was a dark time in America—not only because of the deaths of those vulnerable to the virus, but because large portions of the population accepted and promoted falsehoods. The six-foot social-distancing guideline proved to be arbitrary. Masks were not effective at stopping transmission or contraction of the virus. And the vaccine, along with its many boosters, did not prevent people from getting COVID or spreading it to others. As the virus moved through the population, one reality became clear: the vast majority of people were not dying from it. A relatively small minority recognized the fallacies advanced by government officials, political leaders, health authorities, the media, major institutions, and even many Christian organizations, prominent leaders, and churches. They pushed back against the deception. One of those voices was Steve Deace, a radio host for Blaze Media and best-selling co-author of Faucian Bargain: The Most Powerful and Dangerous Bureaucrat in American History. He joins us this weekend on The Christian Worldview to revisit the COVID era and discuss why Christians must become far more discerning. Number 4: Take Heed from the Fall of G3 Ministries
Send us Fan Mail GUEST: DAVID MORRILL, publisher, Protestia.com G3 began as a theology conference in 2013 at Pray’s Mill Baptist Church near Atlanta. Pastor Josh Buice of the same church was the founder. Year by year, the conference grew into one of the largest and most influential annual events, with thousands attending and some of the most prominent leaders speaking, such as John MacArthur, Voddie Baucham, Steve Lawson, Paul Washer, Ken Ham, Joel Beeke, HB Charles, Tom Ascol, James White, and more. G3 developed beyond a national conference into a ministry organization, with regional conferences, G3 Press publishing arm, G3 Plus subscription platform for written, audio, and video content, G3 Church Network of nearly 200 churches, and much more. In short, G3 was one of the most prominent theologically conservative organizations. But then sin happened. In 2025, it was discovered that founder and pastor Josh Buice was using anonymous social media accounts to criticize fellow believers, some of whom were speakers at his conference. Buice resigned and vice president and pastor Scott Aniol took over. Just recently, it was revealed that Aniol and three other leaders from G3, who also serve as elders at Pray’s Mill Baptist Church, had sent anonymous dossiers to the elders at First Baptist Church in Lindale, TX, accusing their pastor, Tom Buck, a former G3 board member and contributor, of plagiarism in his sermons. Weeks later similar anonymous dossiers were sent to ministry leaders around the country. While there were about 45 instances of Buck using unattributed material from commentaries in his sermons, the elders of his church and other ministry leaders who investigated the charges concluded that it was a lesser degree of plagiarism requiring correction rather than disqualification. But then there was the issue of who was trying to ruin pastor Tom Buck? It soon was revealed that none other than top leadership at G3, which stood for “Gospel, Grace, and Glory” had transgressed in a most inglorious way, with anonymous accusations and even mail fraud. A confession was released and soon the entire organization of G3 dissolved. Joining us this weekend to discuss the fall of G3 is David Morrill of Protestia, a “polemical Christian news and discernment outlet dedicated to reporting, analysis, and theological critique.” David and Protestia received one of the anonymous dossiers, did an investigation, and made public that it was G3 leadership behind it. We will discuss several aspects of this incident, including plagiarism. Why? Not in self-righteousness or a spirit of condemnation but rather to fearfully reflect and learn, knowing our own potential for sin. For Scripture says, “let him who thinks he stands take heed that he does not fall” (1 Corinthians 10:13).

Number 5: Knowing God by Name
Send us Fan Mail GUEST: PASTOR MATT MORRELL, Fourth Baptist Church in Plymouth, MN It’s been said that the most important thing about a person is what they think when they think about God. In other words, the more accurate our understanding of who God is—and the more willing we are to obey Him—the more we will think and live as God intends, for His glory and our good. Creation is God’s general revelation to all people. Romans 1:20 says, “For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes, His eternal power and divine nature, have been cle1arly seen, being understood through what has been made, so that they are without excuse.” Simply by looking at the world and the universe around us, every person everywhere knows that a magnificent, powerful, supernatural God exists. No one has an excuse for unbelief—He is clearly seen through creation. An atheist or agnostic is simply suppressing the truth because of a desire for unrighteousness. But general revelation through creation does not reveal the infinitely rich tapestry of God’s nature and ways. It does not show us how sinners can be restored to a right relationship with Him. For that we need special revelation—the Word of God, which He supernaturally inspired men to write. Every page of the Bible reveals who God is: His stated will, His interaction with mankind, and His holiness and justice perfectly balanced with His compassion and mercy. One of the most instructive ways God reveals Himself in His Word is through His many names—about twenty or more. Some He established for Himself; others He inspired men to ascribe to Him. Names such as Yahweh, Elohim, and Adonai, along with compound forms like El Shaddai, Yahweh Shalom, and Yahweh Jireh, sharpen the believer’s understanding of who God is and how He works. There is much going on in our country and in the world right now. But what could be more important than focusing on the One who created it all and who is in control of it all—the self-existent, eternal, triune Yahweh Elohim? Our guest today is Matt Morrell, pastor of Fourth Baptist Church and president of Central Seminary in Plymouth, Minnesota. He has been preaching a summer sermon series on the names of God and how Christians can anchor their faith and hope in Him.
