Season 2, Ep 9
Welcome to The Chronic Chronicles, I'm SO happy that you're here!
If you've ever walked out of a doctor's appointment feeling unheard, defeated, or straight-up gaslit — this episode is for you.
In today's solo episode, I'm getting real about what it actually looks like to advocate for yourself in the healthcare system as someone with a chronic illness. From the emotional toll of being dismissed to the prep work, scripts, and boundaries I use to protect my peace — we're talking through it all.
You'll hear:
How I prepare for appointments so I don't freeze in the room
Exactly what I say when I'm not being taken seriously
How I handle the emotional crash after an appointment
And the self-advocacy lessons I wish I knew years ago
Whether you're seeing a new specialist, managing multiple conditions, or just tired of feeling like a "difficult patient," this one's a must-listen. You're not alone — and you deserve care that actually cares.
🎧 Listen, take notes, and send this to a friend who's prepping for their next appointment.

Welcome to The Chronic Chronicles, I'm SO happy that you're here!
In today's powerful episode, I'm joined by Charlie, a passionate advocate, content creator, and chronic illness warrior living with MALS (Median Arcuate Ligament Syndrome), SMAS (Superior Mesenteric Artery Syndrome), and Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome. Charlie opens up about the heartbreaking and exhausting reality of being seen as "too complex" by doctors, and how that narrative impacts both medical care and mental health.
We dive deep into what it's like to navigate rare and under-researched conditions while also existing outside of the gender binary. Charlie shares how their identity as a trans, nonbinary person often adds another layer of dismissal and misunderstanding in healthcare spaces. We talk about surgical trauma, the emotional toll of medical gaslighting, and the resilience it takes to keep fighting for care that's not only competent — but affirming.
This episode is a raw, honest look at the intersections of chronic illness, gender identity, and systemic failure and a reminder that people like Charlie deserve to be seen, heard, and believed.

Welcome to The Chronic Chronicles, I'm SO happy that you're here!
This one's for everyone who's ever been told, "But you don't look sick."
In honor of Disability Pride Month, I'm diving deep into what it's like to live with an invisible illness. From endometriosis and PCOS to fatigue, brain fog, and medical gaslighting this episode is part storytime, part real talk, and part reminder that your pain is valid, even if no one else can see it.
I'm sharing my personal experience navigating chronic illness in a world that often demands proof, and why I've stopped trying to "look" sick enough to be believed.
Whether you're newly diagnosed, undiagnosed, or just exhausted from masking it all, I see you. You're not alone.

Welcome to The Chronic Chronicles, I'm SO happy that you're here!
What do you do when you're battling endometriosis, facing sky-high medical bills, and can't find a single product that actually helps your cramps? If you're Kate, you invent your own.
In today's episode, I'm joined by Kate — founder of RebRelief, the game-changing, diaper-shaped heating pad designed to bring wearable relief to people living with endo and period pain.
Kate shares her raw and powerful story: from navigating intense pelvic pain and multiple surgeries, to experiencing pregnancy (and infertility) with endometriosis, and launching a product that's changing lives. We also dig into the financial toll of endo, the glaring gaps in period care products to mens balding research, and the hopeful research that's finally starting to emerge.
If you've ever felt overlooked by the menstrual health industry or are looking for community, innovation, and honesty — this episode is for you.

Welcome to The Chronic Chronicles, I'm SO happy that you're here!
In this solo episode of The Chronic Chronicles, I'm breaking down the science of how gut health and inflammation are connected and how that connection shows up in conditions like endometriosis, PCOS, autoimmune issues, and beyond.
Plus, I'm sharing my personal gut health journey (spoiler: it hasn't been linear), what's helped me the most, and what I'm still figuring out.
If you've ever wondered if gut health actually matters for your chronic illness — this episode is for you.

Welcome to The Chronic Chronicles, I'm SO happy that you're here!
In this solo episode of The Chronic Chronicles, I'm diving deep into something that impacts millions but is still so misunderstood: Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS).
From getting brushed off by doctors to navigating overlapping symptoms with endometriosis, I'm sharing my personal journey with PCOS plus a breakdown of the 4 root types: Insulin-Resistant PCOS, Inflammatory PCOS, Post-Pill PCOS, Androgen-Dominant (Adrenal-Based) PCOS.
We'll talk symptoms, lab markers, root causes, and how I manage my PCOS today with a focus on blood sugar balance, inflammation, stress, and nervous system support.

In this episode of The Chronic Chronicles, I'm joined by Christina—an incredible chronic illness warrior living with endometriosis, multiple sclerosis (MS), POTS, and more. If you've ever felt like your symptoms don't fit into just one box, this episode is for you.

Season 2, Ep 1
Welcome to The Chronic Chronicles, I'm SO happy that you're here!
I'm kicking off Season 2 with one of the most personal episodes I've ever recorded. This week, I'm getting real about my relationship with my body — the frustration, the grief, and the quiet moments of hope that keep me going.
Endometriosis and PCOS have completely reshaped how I see myself. I talk about the weight of chronic illness (literally and emotionally), the reality of trying everything to manage insulin resistance and lose weight with PCOS, and the fear of chasing a dream — like going into medicine — when I don't know if my body can handle it.
This isn't a "how-to" or a "here's what worked for me" kind of episode. It's more like a voice note to anyone who's ever looked in the mirror and felt disconnected from the person staring back. If you're feeling stuck, scared, or just really tired of fighting with your own body, I see you.
Thanks for being here for Season 2. Let's start it with honesty. <3

Welcome to The Chronic Chronicles, I'm SO happy that you're here!
In the Season 1 finale of The Chronic Chronicles, we're joined once again by Megan—nurse, endo warrior, and now, global health advocate—as she shares her powerful experience working with women living with chronic pelvic fistulas in Eldoret, Kenya.
As part of Campaign 52, a multinational humanitarian initiative, Megan partnered with GynoCare Women's and Fistula Hospital to help restore dignity and health to women who have suffered in silence for far too long. Over the course of just 8 days, the team completed 212 life-changing procedures—proof of what's possible when compassion meets action.
