The Western Bulldogs are the "most intriguing storyline" in 2025 with the senior coach out of contract at season's end. The injury toll is mounting with Adam Treloar, Liam Jones and Jason Johannisen all set to miss the opening games of the season plus there's an unknown around the length of time Jamarra Ugle-Hagan will be missing. 

St Kilda is also dealing with an injury crisis after a Friday training session from hell with Max King (knee), Mason Wood (quad) and Jack Sinclair (hamstring) joining the likes of Mattaes Phillipou, Dougal Howard and Rowan Marshall on the injury list.
