Hello everyone and welcome to the Co-Conspirators Podcast. We're back after a brief hiatus to once again venture forth into the world of conspiracy theories. In this short episode we discuss a range of topics, from the global pandemic that refuses to go away, Prince Andrew's ongoing legal battle, as well as the current state of the podcast and our plans for future episodes.
We hope to return to a more structured upload schedule, with more focused episodes planned for the future. Let us know if you like this more casual format, where we simply discuss the conspiracies that have been making the news, we'd love to hear feedback on how to improve!
Join Calum, Luke and John as we break down some of the most interesting conspiracy theories that the world has to offer, covering everything from the most historic plots to the most cutting-edge psy-ops and even ancient mysteries. We aim to offer an informal yet informative insight into some of the explanations and suggestions that the internet has to offer, discussing the factual and the far fetched, in a light-hearted conversation between three close mates. With theories ranging from the plausible to the preposterous, can we be certain that anything is 100% true?

Who turned the lights out!? The Co-Conspirators Podcast time machine has broken down once again, this time finding ourselves in the early medieval period... This part of history was commonly known as the Dark Ages, which saw Europe plunged into a period of barbaric warfare, with very little in the way of historic significance when compared to the bygone ages of Greek and Roman civilisation.
While this might be a slightly shorter episode than usual, with just the two theories to delve into, but there's still a wealth of interesting discoveries and random tangents to discover. Calum offers up the first mystery, exploring one of the greatest myths to have ever emerged from England's brave shores... The legend of King Arthur Pendragon. Was there a real life hero who inspired this epic tale, or was it the case of historians playing fast and loose with the truth? Up next, Luke's theory threatens the balance of our entire historic understanding as we know it... Did the dark ages actually exist? Or should 300 years be erased from the calendars and history books, meaning that we're still in the 18th century?

Another episode, another stop on our adventure through the history books. This time, our destination is one of the most defining eras of our ancient history: The Roman Empire. Just like the Ancient Greeks before them, the Romans were pioneers in many walks of life, especially engineering and architecture, while also conquering large swathes of Europe with their advancements in military strategy. Roman historians are also acclaimed for their dedication to preserving records of key events, albeit with heavy bias towards their own accomplishments, meaning that Ancient Rome is a civilisation we have been able to learn a lot about. Regardless, there are still some mysteries that have managed to slip through the cracks, evading the historians and forming the backbone of this podcast.
Our first theory sees Calum investigating the infamous Roman Emperor Nero. Famed for his cruel and merciless reign, did he set Rome alight so he could rebuild the city to suit his own tastes? Up next, Luke crosses Hadrian' Wall to visit Scotland, the last confirmed position of the famous 9th Legion of the Roman Army. Were British Barbarians responsible for inflicting such a crushing defeat on this, Rome's most elite fighting unit, that they were never heard from again? On the topic of warfare, John uncovers one of the more surprising advancement in military tactics to have come out of this era. How did Roman soldiers find themselves facing a possible chemical weapon attack?

Marking our 25th episode, it's time for another installment of the Co-Conspirators Podcast's trip through the ages. Last time out, we visited ancient Egypt, so now its time for a quick trip over the Mediterranean Sea to explore ancient Greece. Famed for their advancements in almost all walks of life, from arts and philosophy to science and warfare, they are widely accepted as one of the most forward thinking civilisations in history, and could be thanked for the first steps towards the modern democracy we enjoy today. Join us for a very tangential trip through this revolutionary period in human history, one that gave us hours of fun with Pythagoras's mathematical discoveries!
In this episode, Luke dusts off his old poetry textbooks, examining the author credited for two of the greatest works of literature ever written: The Illyad and the Odyssey. Was legendary Greek poet Homer really responsible for these timeless epics, or is the real answer more complicated? On the subject of poets, Calum investigates a secret society that has hosted nearly every famous name to have risen to prominence in ancient Greece. Based on the myth of Demeter and Persephone, what went on during the enlightening rituals of the Eleusinian Mysteries? Finally, John does some excavating in an attempt to locate the famous labyrinth that housed the minotaur. A terrifying mythical creature, half-man and half-bull, is there any evidence to suggest that there was real architecture that inspired the myth, or perhaps the other way round?

We welcome you all to another episode of the Co-Conspirators podcast. Following our last instalment investigating some of the most famous lost civilisations, our time travel machine has malfunctioned, trapping us in yet another ancient realm. This time our travels take us to ancient Egypt, home to the great pyramids of Giza, the Sphinx, mummified pharaohs and enough mystery to fill several burial chambers.
In this episode, Calum attempts to answer the age-old question; how were the ancient Egyptians able to build the great pyramids of Giza, and what was their astronomical relevance? Could it be aliens? More monument mystery follows, as John digs deeper into the origins of the Sphinx. How long ago was it really built, and were ancient humans much more advanced than history would tell us. Finally, Luke presents a fascinating theory that could rewrite the history books and change our perspective on ancient human exploration. But how does this link cocaine, mummified pharaohs and Christopher Columbus?

Hello everyone and welcome to the first Co-Conspirators Podcast episode of 2021! This instalment sees us take a slight deviation from the path of conspiracy theories, as we attempt to venture into the murky depths of ancient mysteries. More specifically, we find ourselves travelling back through history, trying to seek out the truth behind some of the world's most widely renowned lost civilisations.
John starts things off, taking a trip into the dense jungle of the Amazon rainforest, investigating the theory that the trees held a civilisation that was more advanced than the European powerhouses of the same era. Did the ruins of ancient cities found by Francisco Orellana play host to a race of expert farmers and mathematicians who never ventured beyond the confines of the rainforest? Next, Luke explores a colony that seemed doomed to fail from the offset, tracing the history of the Lost Colony of Roanoke. Were the British able to establish settlers on the native American island, or did they meet a grisly end? Finally, zip up your wetsuits as Calum dives into the mystery behind the fabled lost city of Atlantis. Did this civilisation really exist or was it just a figment of Greek philosopher Plato's imagination?

Oh come all ye faithful and join us for the Co-Conspirators Christmas Special! What better way to celebrate the festive season by offering an alternative take on the biggest holiday of the year. We won't spoil Christmas by investigating mystery of who leaves your presents under the tree, but that doesn't mean that other aspects of Christmas are off the table...
Just the two conspiracies this week, unfortunately John was too busy with work to research a full theory, but he was still able to add join us in recording the episode and to take part in a classic game of CONspiracy. Nevertheless, we still have two fascinating festive theories to jingle your conspiracy bells! Up first is Luke, who's theory takes us on a rollercoaster ride through some of the most topical conspiracies of 2020, wrapped up with a Christmas twist. What did Kim Jong-Un really mean when he said that North Korea would have a Christmas present for US president Donald Trump? Our second theory sees Calum investigate the planetary conjunction occurring on the 21st of December, also known as the Winter Solstice. How does this relate to the original birth of Jesus Christ, as well as a plot to usher in a New World Government?

Time to uncover one of the great mysteries of the world today, one that exists in the shadows yet has the power to influence the direction of global politics: The Illuminati. Does a secret society really pull the strings of all the world's governments, plotting to align them all into a Novus Ordum Seclorum (or New World Order)? Are the powers that be seeking to gain maximum control over the world's population to further their own dark agendas and increase their already massive amounts of wealth and power? Or are these just the delusional ramblings of internet conspiracy theorists? In this podcast, we attempt to shed some light on this mysterious group, breaking down with three conspiracy theories that entertain the potential existence of the Illuminati.
Calum kicks things off with an examination of the family history of Bill Gates, and the claims that his Microsoft fortune was entirely self made. Could he have ties to this shadowy organisation, especially with his presence in the ongoing battle against the global pandemic? Up next, John casts an eye over one of the true music greats, Bob Dylan. Did he really build his distinguished career through his exceptional song-writing abilities, or did he strike a bargain with a more sinister force, one not even of this Earth? Finally, Luke one of the most intricate theories we've featured on this podcast. What links World War II, Brexit, the CIA, the British Town of Milton Keynes, politicians Jacob Rees-Mogg and Nigel Farage, Project MKUltra and the EU to the Illuminati? Listen on to find out!

To celebrate the 20th episode of the podcast, we thought we'd examine one of the most classic (and controversial) conspiracies... The myth of the flat earth. Ask anyone off the street what comes to mind when they think of conspiracy theories, and there's a good chance that they'll reference the infamous Flat Earth Society, as its been subject to intense media scrutiny in recent years. Given the countless years of scientific discoveries that have led to unequivocal proof that the Earth is spherical, how can anyone seriously believe that we exist atop a flat disc, surrounded by a wall of impenetrable ice?
In this episode, John kicks the podcast off by breaking down exactly what belief in flat earth entails. There are many facets to this conspiracy theory, some of which the flat earth community cannot agree on, but they seem to have an answer for every criticism thrown their way. Given how ridiculous the idea of a flat earth seems, Calum explores the idea that the Flat Earth Society was concocted by the CIA, acting as a psy-op to discredit the wider conspiracy movement. After all, they do have a very professional looking logo! Finally, in a podcast full of preposterous ideas, Luke brings things back down to Earth by introducing the conspiracy that Australia is actually a made-up country. Did the British ships that contained the prisoners who were believed to have landed on Australia really fall off the edge of the flat earth?

After a short layoff, we're back at it with another full length podcast, this time on the red hot topic that is the US Presidential Election. Following 2016's election, which saw one of the most shocking results in US history when maverick billionaire Donald Trump snatched the election from under tenured politician Hillary Clinton's nose, 2020 sees all eyes on the United States once more. Amidst derogatory nicknames, insults, scandals, and a global pandemic, this latest election race is reaching its final stages and is shaping up to be every bit the spectacle seen in 2016. But is there a darker side to the US democratic process?
In this episode, Luke examines the issue of mail in voting, which Donald Trump has taken some very public issues with. How secure is this form of voting, and is it being exploited by the Democrats to try and oust the current commander in chief? Next up, Calum attempts to tackle the very controversial topic known as Qanon. This conspiracy believes that Donald Trump is destined to expose the a shadowy cabal of political figures involved with trafficking rings and other nefarious actions with a day of reckoning known as the great awakening... But how legitimate are these claims? Finally, John throws things back to the 2016 campaign trail. What really happened to Hillary Clinton at the 9/11 memorial, was her collapse really the result of illness or perhaps there was more to it than met the eye?
