  • EP 13 Lord of the dance
Dancing is very much an integral part of Colombian culture. However, after over seven years calling the country home, it's something The Colombia Cast host Brendan is not keen on doing (he's not called 'Wrong Way' for nothing!). In this episode Englishman Olly West, co-founder of La Suculenta dancing school, explains to Brendan what he's potentially missing out on by not knowing even just the basic steps. Olly also tells us how he went from being somewhat robotic on the dance floor to a smooth operator — of sorts! He might have even convinced Brendan to give salsa a proper go — might have that is!

Over the next few years he juggled his time between the hostel in the city and working on his farm-cum-rural retreat. Then, last year, just when he had the farm developed to the stage of being a sustainable venture, it was badly damaged in an arson attack by paramilitaries.
