The Colombia Cast

In our third episode in this mini-series on tourism (tourism of sorts that is!) Brendan and Oli chat about what for them an enjoyable short getaway from Bogotá is all about.
In any direction from the capital there are small towns to escape to, some more popular than others. It's those less-popular ones, that is to say not the likes of Villa de Leyva, that tend do it for both Brendan and Oli!

En episodio tres de esta miniserie de turismo (pues, ¡turismo en una manera!) Brendan y Oli charlan sobre lo que para ellos constituye una escapada agradable desde Bogotá.
En cualquier dirección desde la capital hay pueblitos para disfrutar, algunos más populares que otros. Es esos lugares menos populares, y no estamos hablando de lugares como Villa de Leyva en este sentido, que, normalmente, ambos Brendan y Oli disfrutan!

El país viene con un montón de este tipo de lugares, demasiado mucho para hablar de todo en un episodio. Entonces, en este edición Oli y Brendan charlan de sus experiencias viajando por San José del Guaviare, un lugar que muchos Colombianos piensan que es una ‘zona roja’ todavía. Pero el pueblo y sus alrededores tienen muchas vistas para el turista, ¡incluyendo guías turísticos improvisados!"

In this first episode of Colombia Cast our host Brendan 'Wrong Way' Corrigan and guest Oli Pritchard of The Bogotá Post discuss what Bogotá means to them.
For some foreign visitors just passing through it, they leave unimpressed. What's more, Colombians from other parts of the country who have relocated there often speak negatively of the capital city.
Brendan and Oli chat about what they see as Bogotá's positive side, from Brendan's love of the humble 'Three Ps' (panes, pericos and Pokerónes) in the working-class barrios to Oliver's enthusiasm to live in a city in rapid transition, with a small but growing craft beer scene, amongst other things!

En este primer episodio del Colombia Cast, el presentador Brendan 'Wrong Way' Corrigan y su acompañante Oli Pritchard del The Bogotá Post hablan de que significa Bogotá para ellos.
Para algunas turistas que visitan la ciudad, no la dejan con una impresión buena. Además, Colombianos de otras partes del país que han traslado a Bogotá frecuentemente hablan negativamente de la capital.
Brendan y Oli hablan sobre las cosas positivas en Bogotá según ellos. Para Brendan es 'Las Tres P' (panes, pericos y Pokerónes) en los barrios populares y para Oliver es la oportunidad vivir en una ciudad en transición rápida, que cuenta con uno pequeño pero creciendo mercado de cervezas artesanales, entre otras cosas!
