Back in 1929, the nude body of a young woman named Netta Fornario was discovered on the tiny Scottish island of Iona. She was draped in a black cloak, and her body was laid out over a cross carved in the earth. To this day no one knows exactly what caused her death. But there are those who believe she was killed by supernatural forces, and they all lead back to a mysterious secret society of magicians.

Hey everyone! While I’m recuperating I wanted to introduce you to my special guest host for this episode, the amazing Nina Innsted of the Already Gone Podcast!

The history books generally state that the inventor of motion pictures would either go to Thomas Edison or the Lumiere brothers. But there's considerable evidence that title should actually go to a lesser known inventor named Louis LePrince, who built his first single-lens motion picture camera years before Edison or the Lumieres. The reason you may never have heard of Louis LePrince though is because before the inventor ever got a chance to publicly demonstrate his remarkable invention, he vanished without a trace from a moving train, along with all his plans.

The Valley of the Headless Men

There's a massive section of pristine wilderness in Northern Canada called the Nahanni National Park Reserve. But legend has it during the early 20th century, several decapitated bodies were found there, giving it the more descriptive nickname The Valley of the Headless Men

The Iceman Curseth

In 1991, some hikers in the Otztal Alps came across a remarkable discovery: the frozen remains of a prehistoric man dating back to between 3400 to 3100 BC. Although Otzi the Iceman, as he's become known, was a major scientific discovery, there are those who believe his remains came with a deadly curse.

Throughout the annals of true crime you'll often hear certain murders being described as "The Crime of the Century". Back in 1924, the press dubbed the kidnapping and murder of a 14 year old boy named Bobby Franks with that title. But what was especially unusual about the crime wasn't the murder itself. But rather, the two suspects the police arrested. They were a couple of wealthy 19 year old college students named Nathan Leopold and Richard Loeb, and when they confessed to the crime they shocked the nation by telling everyone they had done it simply for the thrill of it all.

Between 2006 and 2007, something strange was happening in a girls school in Mexico. More than 600 students began complaining of phantom pains in their legs and other mysterious ailments. But what was even stranger was the fact that the girls also began to believe their school was cursed by evil spirits.
