Lisa Dent loves Geneva! Every week, she’ll share her favorite finds in Geneva with listeners. Hear Lisa’s recommendations for shopping and dining and you’ll see why Geneva, Illinois really does have something for everyone!
This week, Lisa is talking about Preservation (513 S. Third Street) and the Atlas Chicken Shack (511 S. Third Street) in downtown Geneva. Lisa Dent calls it ‘the coolest place.’ And yes, we did post the pictures of the French Onion Soup and Mushroom Tart that Lisa ate when she went there with friends.
At Preservation, enjoy scratch-made dishes, eclectic cocktails, and impressive wine selection – all in a cozy setting. Sit outside in the all-weather outdoor patio, one of the biggest and best heated patios around!
The patio is also where you’ll find the charming Atlas Chicken Shack, a 100-year-old shack serving scratch-made chicken tenders in a box, bowl or bun, wings, and house made slaws. And the patio offers live music six days a week from a mix of local and touring musicians. One of Lisa’s favorite artists, Noah Gabriel, plays there. The new addition is the Front Lounge, the original front room of Preservation, where you can listen to records, enjoy a craft cocktail, have dinner or just appetizers.
The best part – this is all in one spot, so you don’t have far to go to have a great time!
