The Countdown

Get ready, dear listener, for what might be the most raucous and potentially offensive episode of the show yet! For the first time ever, Wayne has to be bleeped mid-show, and that's only when the guys are discussing their number nines of the Top10 Films That Would Never Get Made Today!

Trust us, this episode has it ALL as the boys marvel at some of the amazingly offensive films which were not only greenlit, but then allowed to be released once the finished product was observed. (Clearly, most studio executives and the creatives behind these films were coked out of their minds, because, well, most are from the '80s). Racism, homophobia, and sexism are but the entree of what this Ep has to offer, as Wayne defends some of his choices and Paul squirms audibly

So strap yourselves in tight for a doozy of and Ep as The Countdown continues ...

Wayne has seen another horror film - much to his shock and Paul's amusement - but did he actually enjoy Crawl? And do Paul's many issue with this critically embraced horror film actually result in Wayne giving a HIGHER SCORE for said horror film? And if so, how many of the other six signs of the impending end of the world have taken place?

Get out your crystal balls, or, if you prefer, set your phasers to stun(ning), as this week the guys are talking the Top 10 Future Set Films! In other words, films which were set ahead of when they were made, meaning there's a whole bunch of sci-fi, a smattering of apocalypse, and the occasional bit of AI-centric sex! Wayne promises this Ep is more "Wayneish" than anyone could possibly handle; while Paul is just happy to feature a filmmaker other than Stephen Hopkins ..

All this AND a Wayne rant about SJWs, as The Countdown continues ...

It's a horror DOUBLE FEATURE this week, with two mini-reviews of Annabelle Comes Home and then Brightburn. And despite his hatred for horror Wayne even saw the latter - leaving Paul to fly solo on the latest film in the Conjuring Universe.

Is either worth seeing? Did Wayne choose the wrong film to subject himself to? How many apologies can Paul make for his favourite genre? Find the answers to all these questions and more as The Countdown continues ...

This week the boys got their TV back on, following a request by top level Patron, Geordie Davidson, to countdown the Top 10 Guilty Pleasure TV Shows! This one therefore effectively becomes a look into the frightening psyches of both the hosts, as Wayne stresses he's going to be judged very harshly (and damn well should be!), while Paul is more concerned with filling his list of ten since he gives up on TV shows pretty quickly if they're at all bad.

But fear not! The usual laughs and shade-slinging are both present, as some really awful choices are made by both guys. In other words, it's business as usual, as The Countdown continues ...

The final film in Phase 3 of the MCU has dropped and Spider-Man fans get to see Tom Holland back in action as everyone's favourite web-slinger. Which is very appropriate as Wayne normally slings his own webs about this cinematic series, but is he as on board with this latest Marvel effort? And what has annoyed Paul so much about this film?

This week the boys are trading in their casual jeans and work pants for spandex bike shorts. "But why?" You might rightly ask. Well, because they're counting down the Top 10 R*ctum Clenching Movies (aka Suspenseful Films), and they need all the help they can get!

Find out which films caused the guys to turn blue from all the associated breath holding, and which resulted in arms of chairs being broken. Then there's Wayne voluntarily picking a horror film, and Paul messing up even more French names!

In short, it's all happening, as The Countdown continues ...

This week Wayne is MIA due to being a lame scaredy cat, but fear not because Paul has recruited Dudi, the emperor of the Shaken Not Nerd empire, to take his place fir this review of the controversial 2019 remake of Child's Play. Does Chucky hold his own through this upgrade? Or should this whole idea have been scrapped before he was even boxed up for shipment? Find out as The Countdown continues ...

The Show vs Show format is back!

This week Sam and Stacey from the Movie Review in 20 Qs Podcast take on the boys with their list of the Top 10 Movie Parents. Sam and Stacey are about to welcome a baby daughter into the world, so it was decided this was the best type of education they could get before the big day! Find out then, based on their list, what kind of parents will they be; while Paul does his level best to keep Wayne's head in the game as the sole person on the show without a child or one very much on the way!

Or do they find enough in the Chris Hemsworth and Tessa Thompson pairing to give this one a pass? Find out as The Countdown continues ...
