It's a bit late for George Floyd, but midwest Whites insist they'll craft a policy that repairs the non-white people who suffered arrests for previous sales of the formerly prohibited green stuff. We'll also discuss the Florida shooting of a black mother who was with her offspring. Susan Louise Lorincz was arrested and charged with manslaughter for the fatal shooting of 35-year-old Ajike Owens. Lorincz stood in her residence with the door close and shot Owens who standing outside with her children. We also lost Pat Robinson, a White evangelical minister remembered for saying black people in Haiti deserve to suffer for the 2010 earthquake. The Context of White Supremacy hosts the weekly summit on Neutralizing Workplace Racism 06/09/23. This week, Gus spoke with the University of Minnesota sociologist Dr. Jennifer L. Pierce about White Supremacy and "affirmative action" in the workplace. During the dialog, she detailed how Racist gossip hampers non-white career development. Dr. Pierce also explained how numerous unqualified White male workers pretend to be "victims of racism" when they fail to secure a job or come up short for a promotion. We've familiar with the shiftless, incompetent, unqualified White worker who insists on movin' on up the corporate ladder. We're also mandated to make time to discuss Dale Wheatley, a delivery driver for the Anatomical Gift Association of Illinois. The C.O.W.S. hosts the 6th study session on Dave Cullen's COLUMBINE. On April 20, 1999, Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold killed 13 people and injured 24 more at Columbine High School in Littleton, Colorado. This week, we continue our exploration of Cullen's narrative of the events leading up to the massacre, the motivations of the White killers, and the aftermath of the tragedy. The teen duo apparently had contact with enforcement officers well in advance of the shooting. Last week, we learned more details about the unjust networking of the Jefferson County sheriff's department. High ranking White officials conferenced to discuss how they would deceive the public (and the shooting victims) about records of a neglected search warrant against Eric Harris for the alleged construction of pipe bombs and threatening to kill Brooks Brown. The search was never executed. Brooks' mother, Judy, told the New York Times she'd reported Eric to the police 15 times. Cullen also details how Eric's father, Wayne, felt he and his wife were victims of Judy Brown's grousing about their mischievous child. Tellingly, Mr. Harris wrote down that Eric had learned his lesson about haranguing the Browns. The Context of White Supremacy (C.O.W.S.) Radio Program welcomes Dr. Jennifer L. Pierce. A faculty member in the University of Minnesota’s Department of American Studies, Dr. Pierce’s “research follows two related trajectories: one in the area of racial and gender inequality in American workplaces and several collaborative projects developing different aspects of my methodological expertise.” Months before the current court case adjudicating "affirmative action," Gus T. found Dr. Pierce’s 2012 book, Racing for Innocence: Whiteness, Gender, and the Backlash Against Affirmative Action. Although there is a substantial amount of conflation in the book - suggesting White Women are also victims of “discrimination,” there are a number of important sections. Dr. Pierce details how discussions of "affirmative action" have been "deliberately" misrepresented. Tellingly, she highlights that most of the complaints about "affirmative action" exclude White and non-white females. In fact, some times she writes explicitly that "unqualified" black males are the specific target of White fury. The book also details how White male lawyers grouse about not being able to swap Racist Jokes in the law office. Gus kicks off this interview with Dr. Pierce's egregious (and, perhaps, Racist) omission of former LAPD officer Mark Fuhrman. This White high school dropout railed against non-white officers and White Woman, was the alleged ringleader of the police gang "Men Against Women," and was repeatedly reprimanded for his virulent opposition to "affirmative action." It's estimated that approximately 300 black people were killed during this event. Excavations continue in this area to reveal the extent of the carnage. One on the black Victims (Viola Ford Fletcher) wrote a book (Don't Let Them Bury My Story) on these events that's set to be published next month. Some of this may be drowned out by the kickoff to Gay Pride Month. In places like Gus T's Seattle, Washington, this is a big deal. They had so much chatter about the new AI overtaking humanity and the ChatBot's daily evolution and theft of jobs, Gus experimented with one of the bots. It wrote a fabulous haiku about the Terrorist attack in Tulsa. Just this week, the EEOC released a scathing report indicting White construction companies across the U.S. They cited widespread White Supremacy, including but not limited to: "More than four dozen nooses had been reported at 40 worksites since 2015, and the EEOC received at least 64 charges involving nooses in the construction industry between fiscal years 2015 and 2022." The EEOC also said "[Racism] in construction is a workplace safety issue." Something Gus has been saying for years. Speaking of safety, we'll also discuss the use of evolving technologies to identify employees as they clock in for their shifts. The Katherine Massey Book Club @ The C.O.W.S. hosts the 5th study session on Dave Cullen's COLUMBINE. The April 20th, 1999 Colorado High School shooting resulted in 15 casualties - including the two White shooters. Eric "Rebel" Harris and Dylan "VODKA" Klebold used firearms and bombs to slaughter their classmates before taking their own lives. This massacre inspired school shootings around the world, changed law enforcement's rules of engagement, and remains one of the most significant events of the last 30 years. Harris and Klebold were allegedly fascinated with Adolf Hitler and Nazi Germany. They carried out the attack on Hitler's birthday and a mere 4 years after Timothy McVeigh's bombing of the Oklahoma City federal building - which was on April 19th, 1995. The White teen duo apparently had contact with enforcement officers well in advance of the shooting. Last week, we learned more details about the police response to the carnage. Local officials lied about going inside the school within a half hour of the first call. Actually, it took closer to an hour for police enter the school. The Klebolds describe the funeral service for Dylan. Out of fear that his grave site would be vandalized, they had his remains cremated. Apparently, the Harris family employed a No Snitch policy about their "homegoing" services for Eric. We also heard graphic details about teacher David Sanders last moments before perishing. The Context of White Supremacy welcomes Dr. Angelyn Spaulding Flowers. A professor and coordinator of the Crime, Justice, and Security Studies Program at the University of the District of Columbia, Dr. Flowers is classified as a black female. She's one of the few black researchers who's written about the US scourge of mass school shootings. We'll discuss her 2021 publication, 20 Years of School Based Mass Shootings in the United States, Columbine to Santa Fe. The book uses Columbine as a "launch point" for examining the evolution, scope, and characteristics of mass school shootings. The research details what qualifies as a "mass school shooting" and evidence based patterns of these massacres. One of the main points is that Columbine-style school shootings are almost exclusively carried out by White males. Our normal Racist patterns of thinking - associating black males with crime, will fail us in solving this problem. Another important point, is that the killing of school children is more likely to happen when White gunmen have assault weapons. This is a legacy of the 1999 Columbine slaughter, subsequent school shooters are far more likely to use heavier, more deadly artillery when hunting students. He black boy asked, "What did I do wrong?" Thankfully, he survived and is recovering. Speaking of gun violence, this week marks one year since the deadly Uvalde, Texas school shooting that left 19 students and 2 teachers (mostly classified as non-white) deceased. We've not made improvements in school safety during the past year. A robotic/atomic dog is joining the ranks of the LAPD - Rodney King is rolling over in his grave. And the US Surgeon General offered a stern warning about the adverse consequences of exposing children to "social media." The Context of White Supremacy hosts the weekly summit on Neutralizing Workplace Racism 05/26/23. While Governor Gavin Newsom and others grapple with reparations for the Golden State, black medical doctors in SoCal report abuse, disrespect and Racism. Non-white doctors at Sutter Health report their employers used "false allegations and intimidation tactics to target their own doctors - especially Black and other minority doctors to 'keep them in line.'" Non-white workers being falsely accused is a widespread workplace activity. It is imperative to maintain your composure, ask questions, and document the specific nature of the charges and the subsequent investigation. We also discuss current efforts to amend child labor laws so that 16-year-olds can serve alcohol and 14-year-olds can work longer and later hours.
