On today’s Marketing Monday, we're going to talk about Making Your Content Work Triple Time With Authority Marketing. So I'm going to start out with a question that it may make you a little uncomfortable, just kind of where you're at. However, just try and remember, as I'm asking you this question that your greatest growth happens outside of your comfort zone.
So if your impact never grew beyond where it is right now, if you are business, if your mission never went further than it is right now, would you be happy with that? People often talk about wanting a massive change in their business, but they make these tiny little adjustments. For example, I want to grow my business to seven figures, but I'm going to have a five-figure mindset.

On today’s Marketing Monday, we're going to talk about Why you need to be Intentional with your Personal Brand. So I'm going to start out with why you need to pay attention to your personal brand. You already have one. If you think that you don't have a personal brand, you are wrong.
Your personal brand is what people experience when they look you up. When they research you, when they experience you. And if you are not intentional with your personal brand, if you are approaching that in a pretty haphazard way, then. It may not look the way that you want it to.

On today’s Marketing Monday, we're going to talk about not turning your social media posts into traps. I am so tired of seeing this type of marketing behavior. It's most prevalent in Facebook groups, but I am seeing it trickle over into LinkedIn.
For example, somebody took organic marketing and boiled it down into 4 spammy steps. So organic marketing is supposed to be a business development process. It's supposed to be a bit intuitive, but it leans into relationship building.

Today, we're going to look at something called “opportunity cost”. This phrase is actually from microeconomics, but we're not exactly looking at it from that standpoint. The opportunity cost is the benefit from an option not chosen. So opportunity cost is what you are forecasting going in favor of a different choice.

As business owners, we often succumb to "shiny object syndrome" when confronted with a new tactic or tool for our businesses. This is especially true in marketing, where it seems like they produce a new tool that will get amazing results every other day.
We're going to explore how having a strategy can keep you from spending money on tools and tactics that don't align with your business goals.

Today is Friday, and we have another episode with Dr. Gail Hayes, the found of The Handle Your Business Girl Empowerment Zone. I know that we're all struggling to have these authentic conversations around diversity, equity, and inclusion. We're still code-switching.
We're still struggling with what we're allowed to say. What if we make other people uncomfortable? How uncomfortable are we allowed to make them? That’s what Dr. Gail and I are going to talk about today.

Ruthie: Hello everyone, and welcome back to the 3rd episode of The Defiant Business Podcast with Dr. Gail Hayes, the founder of the Handle Your Business Girl Empowerment Zone. I'm your host Ruthie Bowles, and today's topic is one that I love.
I feel like what we're going to talk about today has been talked about a lot behind closed doors. One of the biggest obstacles we've had is articulating our thoughts and feelings in a way that we’re heard by the people we want. That’s what Dr. Gail and I are going to talk about today. Dr. Gail, welcome! Thank you so much again.
