The SABC says it is commemorating World Radio Day yesterday (Sunday) by fully aligning itself with this year's theme that is entrenched in the principle of trust. All radio stations marked the day with programming that celebrates post-democracy gains made by SABC Radio - especially in building trust with listeners. The public broadcaster used the day to highlight the importance of radio as a trusted and the most accessible medium for informing, educating and entertaining.
