Today being the last day of August which we mark as Women’s Month, we thought to look back to some of the achievements with regards to women. Where are we in 2020 when it comes to bridging the wage gap, equality, leadership, GBV and economic emancipation? If the women of 1956 could look into 2020, would they be happy with where we are as women?

The ANC's Integrity Commission has summoned the party's Secretary-General, Ace MaGashule to an urgent meeting over a comment he made that he will never step aside over a mere allegation of corruption. He's been drawn into the P.P.E tender scandal after reports that two of his sons received contracts worth two-point three million for COVID-19 goods and services. Over the years there have been claims of corruption against him while he was the Free State Premier and ANC provincial Chairperson. The ANC is holding a Special National Executive Committee meeting this weekend to debate extensively and implement plans to fight corruption that has caused huge reputational damage to the party. The South African Post Office is back on the news agenda for different things. Yesterday five new board members were appointed, this takes place amid accusations that Minster Stella Ndabeni-Abrahams interfered in operations and abuse of power. Earlier in the week the minister said that the huge numbers of people that are flocking to the Post Offices to access Social Distress COVID-19 Relief Fund is worrying. She was in Mbizana -where she encountered hundreds of people queuing from early in the morning for grants…..
