The man arrested for allegedly shooting and killing his son after he mistook him for a criminal at the Fred Norman Secondary school in Ennerdale south of Johannesburg has been released on a warning. Sibusiso Tshabalala applied for bail in his first court appearance in the Lenasia Magistrate's Court following the fatal shooting on Tuesday.

Since Google announced its Digital Skills for Africa programme in April 2016, it has trained over 2 million young Africans in 900 communities across 29 countries. Their initial target of training 1 million young Africans on digital skills was met in March 2017, and extended to 10m in five years in July 2017. Now, Google is deepening its focus to ensure it achieves its target through launching Digital Skills in communities and aim to train jobseekers and businesses where they are - in roughly 100 communities across a number of countries including South Africa, Nigeria and Kenya.
