While celebrating some family birthday parties, Garrett witnessed others drinking cheap, canned wine while choosing to abstain for his no-alcohol challenge he's given himself, and saw the after effects the following day from those that drank it with massive headaches. What seemed like a small decision led to a massive consequence. What seemed like a small decision at the time led to a massive consequence showing us that seemingly inconsequential decisions ultimately have a large impact on the bigger picture.

Garrett spilled his green smoothie in his car before launching into a busy day of production, and despite all the progress he's made in his life to continually operate from a place of power, there's a part of him when shit goes sideways that goes immediately into victim mode. It's at this time that he can either continue to whine and complain, or he can ask for help, which he had to learn how to do when Plan A requires another look at B, C or D. There are people in our lives that can help us get through the inevitable shit that comes up which throws us off our game that can help us course correct back to where we want to be, which is in fully functioning power.
Garrett received some depressing news before creating today's podcast, taking away one of his most healing and therapeutic remedies: surfing. His periodontist saw that it's going to take 4-5 more days for the rest of his mouth to heal up enough from his oral surgery last week, which also means that Garrett has not been cleared to go surfing again due to the chance of infection from the bacteria in the ocean. It's made him seriously consider scrapping the whole mouth reconstruction surgery, which will take months to perform and even longer to be away from the ocean and surfing. As much as he wants to put a band-aid on everything, he's learned from his Achille's heel surgeries that a little bit of sacrifice and waiting will be worth it in the long run by letting his body heal properly.

Garrett has a lot of meetings and various responsibilities to be had today and every day in his life, but after receiving a notification (a very polite notification) that his car needs to get refueled, he realized that there are many instances across all areas of our life that have small, simple reminders to maintain our Power. Daily workings on our Core 4 and being aware of something as seemingly simple as filling up the gas tank with fuel will keep us going from Point A to Point B-Z, but if we choose to ignore them instead, we will create bigger issues in our life.

Garrett has family visiting from London during the Easter holidays and while one of his daughters and her cousin were drawing Easter Bunny footprints with sidewalk chalk for their younger cousins, a fight broke out between them (they're close in age) and his daughter had a chunk of hair missing from her head. She isn't used to having people fighting against her, and so as much as Garrett wanted to protect her and take the pain away from the experience, another part of him knew that in so doing, he's also taking away the lesson to be learned from the experience, and so he had to make the tough decision to let his daughter suffer the consequences of fighting with her cousin.
