What traumatic experiences have you gone through? What continues to leverage weight over your life, decisions and future?
Unfortunately, trauma is something that we all have to deal with in one form or another - whether it's from abuse or just life in general. It is the cost of being human and having emotions, and if left untreated it can control the quality of your life, your happiness and everything you want to achieve.
To move forward, to be our best selves, we have to heal the Trauma.
In this exclusive episode with one of my good friends and founder of The Psylogia Institute, Wesly, we discuss an amazing approach to trauma and healing that has profound and lasting effects (and is super simple), as well as what trauma is exactly and how we encode it into our psyche.
It's a fascinating conversation full of golden nuggets, wisdom and even a special offer from Wesly himself.
In everything that you do, you’ve got to ultimately love why you’re doing it but, as we all know, there are many aspects and details to what we do that aren’t fun or enjoyable. It’s in these times that our desire and faith are questioned, inviting us to quit, be frustrated or lash out. By practicing acceptance, though, and realizing that as long as we LOVE IT MORE THAN WE HATE IT and keeping the difference between those two as high as possible through knowing our vision, delegating the details and taking regular breaks – we can avoid the pitfall of a runaway mind during times of stress and challenge. In the end, life is short and time is limited, so love it more than you hate it and keep going.
What does "Work/Life Balance" mean to you?
How do you create a fulfilling career or business while at the same time not missing out on the little moments with family, friends and loved ones?
These are eternal questions and some of the most important if you are up to big things in life, and with my good friend and coach Selina we dive deeper into how to not only "balance" (we both don't like that word) but create a flourishing, dynamic life filled with everything that we want. Selina shares some important steps and strategies to consider and we peel back the curtain on this ever-mysterious life goal in this exclusive new interview.
Who do you need to forgive in your life? Have you forgiven yourself or are you living every day with the weight of your own judgments?
These are some powerful questions that I tackle, along with 5 simple but incredibly powerful strategies on how to practice Forgiveness in this exclusive new episode.
Forgiveness is one of the most difficult things to do in life, and yet it is also one of the most important for our health, our sanity and our happiness.
To forgive is not easy, it is a practice that must be repeated like anything else. It starts with realizing that negative emotions have a direct impact on our health and that by hanging on to them we literally kill ourselves over time. By practicing the 5 steps to Forgiveness and ending with Gratitude, however, we can regain our freedom and find power from the suffering that is part of life.
In the end, remember that forgiveness is not about some external act or person, but truly about you and your own freedom – it is, at its core, something we do within.
The journey of life is half effort and striving against circumstances to obtain what we want, and the other half enjoying what we already have each step of the way. To hold these two perspectives in balance is to dance your way through life and, to ultimately avoid the Biggest Trap which is success without fulfillment. A daily gratitude practice, then, is not just something useful but really necessary for the progressive realization of our biggest dreams because it keeps us grounded, refreshed and seeing clearly through all of life’s changes.
What does the idea of "Global Consciousness" mean to you? Can we see beyond what divides us and into the universal aspects of what it means to be human, what it means to live and love?
In this exclusive episode with Scott & Marla Berger, founders of the Tree of Life Movement, we take a look at Global Consciousness, the power of intention and raising the vibration of the human race one person at a time.
We talk about their amazing journey with the Tree of Life Movement, some inspiring stories of love and Gratitude as well as what it really means and takes to raise our vibration as a global community one person at a time.
Listen until the very end to hear some absolutely jaw-dropping stories about two young kids and their view on life - it will astound you.
Domestic Violence and Abuse are not something comfortable to talk about - but they're actually a bigger problem then most people think.
In this exclusive interview with author, speaker and women's empowerment coach Jacke Wilson, we discuss the different kinds of abuse, how to recognize an abusive pattern, why we stay in abusive relationships and how you can get out and begin to create change in your life.
It's an absolutely awesome conversation and I encourage you to share it with anyone in your life that is struggling with abuse or to heal from it.
In our consumption based modern lifestyle, we run a great danger of becoming desensitized to the very things we want and enjoy because of their ease of availability. For thousands of years mankind has utilized the Power of Fasting to place a space between pleasures so that appetite and, more importantly, appreciation can develop. Without fasting we have no discipline, no sensitivity and no ability to discover the extraordinary hidden in plain sight. Employ then this powerful tool, whether it is a financial fast, food fast, media fast or a fast from people, on a regular basis to not only re-discover yourself but to re-claim your desire.
In life, as the saying goes, there are no shortcuts to any places worth going. Indeed, we can learn new techniques and strategies to become better at what we do, but in the end there is no substitution for the plain and simple consistent effort and failure required to get to the top. Our relationship to failure, then, and what we can take from it to empower ourselves is the key and, the next time you look at someone successful - remember that they were just willing to fail more than everyone else.
Today we are privileged to live in the wealthiest and safest time that humanity has experienced. Unfortunately, this is not the case universally across the globe, but for those of who do have the blessing of these comforts it is easy to develop luxury problems – that is, problems that we have the luxury of having. By taking a moment to remind ourselves and list out what we are lucky NOT to have alongside what we also do, we can fortify our mind against entitlement, complaining and, ultimately, a loss of our ability to appreciate. The lesson? Count your blessings – both those you have and those you are lucky not to have.
