Mastering our emotions is a fundamental pillar of life. Indeed, most of our suffering or quality of life issues stem from unmanaged emotions like anxiety, anger, sadness or shame. In a breakthrough technique called the Emotion Code, Dr. Bradley Nelson uncovers the powerful link between these negative emotions and our physical and spiritual health, teaching us that the path to abundance, happiness and clarity lie in releasing our trapped emotions and mastering our feelings through all of life's changes.
Transformation in our health is something available to each and every one of us. Zig Ziglar says, "Like showering daily, we must do the same for our minds." In this sense, the habits you employ are key to your success. Los recommends that when you don't want to keep going, think of why you're doing what you're doing. Try to do one thing every day that would be a hard NO, set goals both short and longterm, monitor those goals and above all never, ever give up.
The regular practice of Stillness is an invaluable habit in our modern, progress-oriented lives. Besides its impact on physical, mental and spiritual health, Stillness is also important as a practice to maintain performance, connect to Gratitude, discover important messages and experience life. It is the space between the notes of life's music and, to find it, Joey recommends simply closing your eyes, taking 6 deep breaths and sitting still for 5 minutes at least once per day. You can also journal about your experience and discover what Stillness has to say to you.
Our health is the foundation for everything that we want in life. Without good health we lack the proper energy to not only do what we want to do, but to enjoy all of the beauty that life has to offer. In addition to common sense good health practices like eating a healthy diet, staying active, and minimizing toxins such as tobacco or alcohol, Dr. Noel recommends regularly doing what you love, resting for a short period of time each day, and reducing your exposure to physical and psychological stressors. The body is an amazing machine that is designed to heal, all we have to do is support it through our own continued and mindful efforts.
Life is meant to be enjoyed. Part of that enjoyment comes from experiences that are for their own sake and with little effort, while the other part is from the things that require growth, challenge and difficulty. To access this realm requires planning, foresight and continual action in the now that will only pay its dividends later. A consistent relationship to the future we want to live. Only in this way, we can build momentum and enjoy a created life of our choosing.
Our words really do have the power to create reality, but that power is only fulfilled if we demonstrate integrity with our actions. Integrity here doesn’t mean moral integrity, but rather an alignment between what we say and what we do. When we exercise this kind of integrity and live by it, sharing what we are up to in the world benefits us by bringing life to our dreams in the minds and hearts of others, as well as giving them the opportunity to share in our excitement.
Relationships are an integral part of life. How we communicate and work within those relationships, then, is a key factor of our happiness and success. Learn to distinguish between what demands your commitment by evaluating three key factors: (1) look within and find your why, your values and reason why you do what you do and see who aligns accordingly (2) articulate clearly that why and the rules that will help it come into being through agreements and (3) remain effective by doing what you said you would do and inspiring others to do the same.
When you commit to a goal, a person, an outcome of any kind – ask yourself what are you building for later? Your thoughts determine your actions which, over time, become your habits. As you practice these habits, you cement them into your character through experience and emotion. This is important because what it really means is that, if you want to control your life as a whole, you’ve got to look to your actions and what you can do TODAY. Everything ripples outward and, if you focus on the cause of those ripples, you will become the master of your life.
