Calculating patient co-payments can be tricky if you don't understand the formulas. The 3 basic formulas are deductible, downgrades, and downgrades with deductibles. In this episode listen in as Ericka walks you through how to calculate a patient's co-payment.

What do you do when only a few items on the claim were paid? How do you resubmit the items that were either denied or need additional information? 

In this shortie episode, Ericka talks about splitting claims. This helps control insurance account receivables, automatically generates a new claim for the items that were not paid, and closes the original claim so it does not sit on your insurance account receivable report.

Her plan was to discuss the many different types of audits a dental practice may encounter and how the audits are triggered (stay tuned for this episode). Instead, she started thinking about how an office can benefit from the 6 part framework she and her team use to help start-up offices build out their billing departments in order to avoid many of the billing errors and pitfalls most offices face.
