Having a baby is a life changing experience in so many ways, and being prepared for being a mother as well as the entire pregnancy journey is so important. As mothers, a part of this preparation is staying aware of the hardships that come with the pregnancy journey, especially if you are a woman of color. Whether that be micro-aggressions in the hospital, lack of compassion from the people around you, or any other unethical treatment you may go through due to being a woman in this society. Pregnancy should be an empowering time of any Mamas life, and in order to make it that way, being mentally and physically prepared for anything will definitely come in handy! Tune into this episode where I talk with Dr. Nicole Rankins as she gives you tips on not only how to be prepared, but how to be empowered in your pregnancy.

April 18-24 is National Infertility Awareness Week. Infertility is an extremely touchy subject, but despite how hard it may be for women to open up and speak on it, it is so crucial to be able to have open discussions about mothers who have trouble conceiving just as much as we celebrate the mothers who are able to. Listen in to this powerful episode with Brittany Bronson, LCSW and owner of Journey to Healing Therapy - about women who suffer from infertility and how we can bring more awareness to it.
