When We’re Wounded, We Can’t Un-injure Ourselves

But once the injury, the massive thing, the painful event occurs, we need to understand that we CAN make it worse if we’re unaware of the concept of secondary injury.

Here’s a good talk about how we can make things better through the power of self-brain surgery. This concept will help you:

* Avoid having your painful event (loss, abuse, medical problem, financial issue, etc) become a generational problem in your family

* Avoid having one problem create new ones (addiction, divorce, family strife)

* Find hope and happiness again even after suffering “the massive thing” that life brings

Sometimes we need an editor.

But what if we could learn to edit ourselves? What if we had an internal “red button” that would BLEEP our thoughts when they’re harmful, shaming, negative, labeling, or otherwise unhelpful to us? What if we could learn to place a 5-second pause between a feeling and a thought or between a thought and a reaction?

We can! But it takes self-brain surgery.
