  • A Different Angle to Mental Health w/ Alexina Graham

In graduate school I had a colleague of mine who was an ex supermodel who opened up about the real mental health issues, body image issues and eating disorders that plague models everywhere.
For someone who is on the outside, they look like the “perfect” specimens, that doesn’t mean they aren’t human and don’t feel the way everyone else does.

Alexina Graham is an English fashion model. She began her modeling career in 2008, when she was one of the winners of the 2008 Ford modeling competition. Alexina had appeared in multiple magazines such a as vogue, Marie Claire, Elle and more, As well as in campaigns for Burberry, Balmain, L’Oréal and Victoria’s Secret. • Men's Inner World with Chris Wilson

Hi, I'm Chris Wilson. As a young man I grew up modeling the tough "go-getter" "be hard" mentality that my Boston, MA culture gave me. I didn't know I was an angry young man. I thought it was good to be tough. I used my anger to motivate me to achieve my goals and create a sense of safety and identity for myself.

Later in life after quitting college to race bikes at the national team level, going to world championships in triathlons and being #1 in sales at a couple of tech companies I experienced a major anxiety attack. My body was telling me I did not want to be like the men I was surrounding myself with. While horrible and challenging I came out of that experience appreciating who I was as a man in new and profoundly powerful ways.

Now, it is my mission to hold and create safe spaces for men to get out of their heads and into their bodies to redefine what it means to be a man and be vulnerable open hearted leaders.

My practice is flexible to meet men where they are. Primarily based in slowing men down, connecting to the breath and learning tangible tools to express and let go of stuck energy and emotions. It is from this place of presence and connection that men can take meaningful action and show up in a more empowering way in all of their relationships. I have over 2000 hours of one on one transformational coaching experience working with men ages 18 to 75.

I live in San Francisco, CA with my amazing Fiance Anna and our cat Chesterfield. My other passions include trail running, backpacking and open water swimming.

  • What is Fitness w/ Drew Manning

During this weeks episode I chat with Drew Manning what it was like to go somewhere that put him in dark places physically and mentally.
As a man who struggles with body image and self doubt, chatting with Drew about what true fitness is was extremely enlightening on how it impacts our whole self.

Drew Manning is back in the spotlight with a new challenge he is calling Fit2Fat2Forty! He will be purposely gaining weight AGAIN, while following select “fad” diets and doing them wrong and then losing the pounds by doing them right, all just in time for his 40th birthday in December 2020.

Drew Manning is a well-known Keto coach, physical trainer, and NY Times Best Selling Author of the book Fit2Fat2Fit.  Best known for his Fit2Fat2Fit experiment that went viral, Drew gained over a million followers as he documented his 75-pound weight gain and weight loss journey back in 2011. His podcast has over 2.5 million downloads and he's been featured on TV shows such as Dr. Oz, Good Morning America, The View, and many more. His experiment has become a hit TV show, called Fit to Fat to Fit, airing on A&E & Lifetime. Drew recently wrote and published his second book, Complete Keto, which is available wherever books are sold now.

Drew is someone who takes fitness and health very seriously and shares compassion with people who struggle with losing weight. He believes empathy is something that's missing from the fitness industry because not everyone understands how hard it can be and empathy bridges the gap and is key to understanding why some people struggle with transformation.   Drew is the father of two daughters and resides in Utah.

  • Healing from the Scars w/ Sarah Edmonson

Sarah Edmondson is a Canadian actress who has starred in the CBS series Salvation and more than twelve films for the Hallmark Channel and Lifetime. Her upcoming Hallmark film, Roadhouse Romance airs this fall. She is also a well-established voice-over artist for popular series such as Transformers: Cybertron and My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic.
In 2005, when NXIVM, a personal and professional development company, promised to provide the tools and insight Sarah needed to reach her potential, she was intrigued. Over her twelve-year tenure, she went from student to coach and eventually operated her own NXIVM center in Vancouver. Questions kept coming up about the organization’s rules and practices, which came to a head in 2017 when she accepted an invitation from her best friend to join DOS, a “secret sisterhood” within NXIVM.
In 2019, Sarah published Scarred: The True Story of How I Escaped NXIVM, the Cult that Bound My Life, with Kristine Gasbarre. In this tell-all memoir, she shares her story from the moment she takes her first seminar to her harrowing fight to get out of NXIVM, collaborate with the FBI, help others, and heal.
Sarah’s full story as a whistleblower is featured in the CBC podcast Uncover: Escaping NXIVM (downloaded over 25 million times) and The Vow, the critically acclaimed HBO documentary series on NXIVM.
Now with the launch of her own podcast, “A Little Bit Culty,” Sarah is keeping the conversation going by exploring the fads, beliefs, and trends that blur the line between devotion and dysfunction. Co-hosted by her husband and fellow NXIVM whistleblower Anthony “Nippy” Ames, the podcast is part conversational coffee date and part deep dive on everything from Lululemon to Waco. And while there was nothing small about Sarah’s cult experience, “A Little Bit Culty” is grounded in her mission to help people understand, heal from, and avoid abusive situations one little red flag at a time.
