It's election night on this week's Epoch. We try to conduct a normal episode as results roll in, tracking the night with to-the-minute updates. Of course, Joe let's know how bad national politics are, as always. Jesse gives us a special primer, summarizing what has been covered recently on Marxist Menagerie. Chava brings us a story that proves the stock market would be more efficiently run by rodents. Plus, the chaos of a municipal election. Thank you for listening.

We got worm fever on the Epoch! Actually, this is mostly a downer of an episode, but we try to liven things up however we can. First, we examine the "Rust" shooting, as contrast to the recent IATSE near-strike, and try to answer who exactly is culpable for the tragedy. After a brief mention of the Facebook leaks, we move on to local politics. Scott riffs on the 3rd Boston mayoral debate, we explain what a "Bridge-hack-a-thon" is, and the planned-but-doomed Long Island Bridge. We get into the dirt with slimy anti-Wu campaign tactics, Richard Neal's reject of Biden's paid leave, and the number cops being firing for skipping the vaccine mandate. WARNING: What come's after this is a rather lengthy and sober discussion on situation with Mass and Cass, involuntary detainment, substance abuse, addiction, mental health, and recovery. To round out the show, Chava tells us the story of a New Zealand Wizard shafted by the man, and Sarah and Scott spitball their Dune thoughts. As always, thanks for listening!

We're got a feral one this week. First and foremost, we eulogize the late Colin Powell, highlighting his role in the invasion, and War in Iraq. In the news, we discuss Striketober, Jesse runs down the upcoming ballot questions, attack ads against Michelle Wu, and the Super PACs funding them. Lastly, we mention the beginning of Blaise Compaoré's trial for his coup against Thomas Sankara, of which, of course, he did not appear. A long awaited follow-up to the infamous testicuzzi, Chava brings another story about balls and baths. As always thank you for listening to your Epoch, please remember to share. Thank you.

Joe was at the Red Sox game, so Sarah filled in for a chaotic Epoch. We open the episode with more Marxist Trump, and a critique of the ubiquity of the "Yankees suck" chant. We have a pretty loose news segment with a discussion of Kyrsten Sinema and the failure of bourgeois politics, the official announcement of the IATSE strike, an examination of Biden's backstory, and a mention of more endorsements for Michelle Wu. Sarah then guides us through the techno jargon behind Facebook's outage Monday afternoon. We scrutinize capitalism's misdiagnosis and inefficient response to mental health. Finally, we end the episode with some animal comrades; Chava brings us a story that reminds us to stay away from bears, and Jesses highlights the capybara revolution happening right now in Argentina. Thank you for listening.
