The Evolution Of Conflict Resolution In The Workplace with Liz Kislik

Listen Later

“I think people are afraid of conflict because they think of it as battle, but it doesn't need to be at all. It’s just people getting along when they care deeply about something. So relying on goodwill and putting in the time and attention really can make such a big difference, and then you build a practice of normalizing disagreement, and it feels okay…”

In this week’s episode, our guest and I delve into the importance of conflict resolution in various workplace settings, common causes of workplace conflicts, and the role of emotional intelligence in resolving conflicts.

Our conversation also explores the challenges of dealing with difficult employees and the necessity of sometimes making tough decisions for the benefit of the organization as a whole.

Finally, we discuss the approach to leadership in navigating conflicts and the importance of mutual respect in resolving workplace issues.
