Jenelle Potter was a lonely, type 1 diabetic living with her parents in small town Mountain City, Tennessee. She found friends through Facebook and loved the company she had online. Jenelle’s parent, Marvin “Buddy” and Barbra Potter were the definition of helicopter parents. They chose what Jenelle did and when. One day at the pharmacy, Jenelle made a friend, a pharmacy worker named Tracy. After several meeting with the Potter’s, Jenelle was allowed to be friends with Tracy. At a party Tracy had invited Jenelle to, she met Billy Payne (Tracy’s brother) and it was like love at first sight. Unfortunately Billy had a girlfriend named Billie Jean and an infant son. The jealousy from Jenelle would end up killing two people.
