The First Time Boston Became An Occupied City

Listen Later

On today’s episode of Founded we find out more about the incredibly unhinged James Otis Jr and the way that Samuel Adams found his way to becoming the chief rabble rouser. The royal governor couldn’t call in troops without permission from the council, but turns out he didn’t need to because the crown itself decided to respond to the chaos unfolding in the town of Boston. There’s a whole lot of redcoats and a more tame rabble.
