We are all one decision away from destroying our lives. Make decisions based on what you think, not what you feel. If you don’t control your emotions, they will control you. Do you trust the news or trust God? Human viewpoint manipulates our thinking. Divine viewpoint gives us objectivity. “The steadfast of mind You will keep in perfect peace because he trusts in You” (Is 26:3). Developing a FLOT line in your soul protects against emotions taking control.

Easter weekend we celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ. “If Christ has not been raised, your faith is worthless; you are still in your sins” (1 Cor 15:17). As Christians, this is what we take our confidence in, “After a little while the world will no longer see Me, but you will see Me; because I live, you will live also” (John 14:19). Not only am I going to speak about the resurrection of Jesus Christ, but I’m going to talk about your resurrection, what will happen for you.

As a Christian, you have a direct line to the heavenly throne of God, but if you "don’t dial the right number" your call won’t go through. Pray to God the Father, in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, and in fellowship with the ministry of the Holy Spirit. “The Holy Spirit helps us with our infirmities; for we know not what we should pray for as we ought, but the Holy Spirit makes intercession for us” (Rom 8:26). One of the reasons our prayers are not effective is because we have unconfessed sin in our life, and another is we’ve ignored God’s mandate to study Scripture and grow spiritually. “Stop thinking in terms of arrogance beyond what you should think, but think in terms of humility as God has assigned to each one of us a standard of thinking from His Word” (Rom 12:1-3). A lack of trust in God, a malfunction in the faith rest technique is another reason prayer is not answered.

“Discretion will guard you and Understanding will watch over you.” Discretion, the ability to make wise decisions. The Fantastic Four can be your shield, but you must acquire and learn how to use them as your FLOT line. “No testing has overtaken you but such as is common to man; and God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tested beyond what you are able” (1 Cor 10:13). Testing gives us the opportunity to apply the Word of God and accelerate our spiritual growth.

The most dynamic things we need as Christians, “When Wisdom enters your heart [thinking] and Knowledge is pleasant to your soul” (Prov 2:10). Wisdom is acquired, not inherited. The wisdom of God is found in the Scripture. Scripture learned and applied becomes a treasure in your soul, much more valuable than gold. Your soul is the invisible part of you with an eternal presence. It will go with you to heaven. “As a man thinketh in his heart, so he is.” (Prov 22:7).

Don’t live like a fool. Carefully regulate your life with the Fantastic Four: Wisdom, Knowledge, Discretion, Understanding (Prov 2:10-11). Winners execute. Losers emote. If you will choose to learn the Word of God, acquire the Mind of Christ, you will have wisdom and discernment. “Let this mind be in you that was also in Christ Jesus” (Phil 2:5).

Prayer is important. Are your prayers getting through to the throne room of God? The Bible teaches us that prayer is a privilege of those who have become the children of God (John 1:12) those who have accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as their Savior. “My people, who are called by My name, shall humble themselves and pray and see My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, will forgive their sin, and will heal their land” (2 Chron 7:14). If we are to survive this cataclysmic time in our history, we must appeal to God and do it effectively.

To protect your soul and prevent adversity from becoming stress in your soul. “Put on the full armor of God to stand firm…” (Eph 6:11). Take up the shield of faith. Know God and His plan for your life by studying the Bible under the teaching of a qualified pastor. Develop SIQ, spiritual IQ, divine viewpoint thinking from the Word of God. “Be filled with the knowledge of His will in all wisdom and understanding (SIQ)” (Col 1:19). God’s Word will guide you.”Your Word is a lamp to my feet and a light for my path” (Psalm 119:105).

The strength we need to face adversity comes from God’s grace. Keep our eyes on Christ, not on self. “My grace is sufficient for you because My strength is made perfect in your weakness…I am content with distresses…for when I am weak, then I am strong" (2 Cor 12:9-10). Grace is the means God conveys His power to us to handle adversity.
