As a doctor, Rep. Schrier has seen firsthand what happens when people don’t have access to healthcare. The members discuss how Congressional Republican cuts to Medicare and Medicaid will not only hurt those who are losing their coverage, but will put a strain on the entire healthcare system. Rep. Schrier also explains how rural communities are especially vulnerable to these cuts, as it has already led to several rural hospital closures.

This week, Landsman and Veasey are joined by Congressman Mike Levin (CA-49) to discuss Republicans’ legislation to give an additional $70 billion to ICE and CBP without any of the common-sense reforms Americans overwhelmingly support.
