The Geek Down

We talk about a comic that was 20+ years in the making thanks to some bureaucratic bullshit, both fictional and real-world deaths that totally crush us, voice actors vs. actors' voices, and the rehashing of a rehash turns out to be the best thing on film

The comic that red-tape, bureaucracy, and corporate grandstanding built! After almost being a game, and almost being other series, Archer & Armstrong finally releases after a few decades in limbo. The story - After years of meditation and training, 18-year-old Obadiah Archer has been dispatched to New York City to carry out the sacred mission of his family’s sect — locate and kill the fun-loving, hard-drinking immortal known as Armstrong. Pat's gives his impressions and whether or not this one's been worth the wait (and the hype).

Note: This review is NOT brought to you by "Jason's Steak-Ums!" Master assassin Arthur Bishop (Jason Statham) springs back into action after an old enemy (Sam Hazeldine) kidnaps the woman (Jessica Alba) he loves. He travels the globe to complete three impossible assassinations, and do what he does best, make them look like accidents. Guest appearances by Tommy Lee Jones and Michelle Yeoh... who don't do a godammed thing! It's corny, it's predictable, and it STILL somehow earns our seal of approval.
