Steam, Sony, and Amazon were reportedly offering unconditional refunds for 'No Man's Sky' following allegations of deception on behalf of developer Hello Games. Steam would eventually clarify their position after getting inundated with requests from people looking to recoup some of their lost funds and make up for wasted time. According to PlayStation UK’s customer support, consumers CAN request a refund but there are a few caveats: only players with in-game technical issues can request a refund, and must exhaust a list of troubleshooting options with a customer service representative before the case is passed over to the PlayStation investigation team. They will then decide if the case justifies a refund. Amazon, without going into the specifics, said the company was offering refunds on a case-by-case basis. Overall, refunds are being granted but the process isn’t as straightforward as we'd like

A suicide Squad cosplayer is arrested in NY when people mistake his costume and props for actual military gear and weaponry. Since the man was dressed as Rick Flagg, one of the less garish costumes in the comic cinematic universes today, people understandably mistook him for any other random gun-toting nut and called authorities. We discuss was the cosplayer in the wrong, or was there overreaction by police when they got the complete story. The convo also bleeds into how can events like this be prevented in the future, and better ways all parties involved could possibly go about this.

The 6th annual BFIG brought a little more crowd participation from the Geek Down crew - we were invited to host their award ceremony this year! The festival celebrates independent game development in New England and neighboring regions. Shooting to create an inclusive environment for everybody who enjoys and appreciates games in whatever shape or form. Amy, Jonny, and Pat had individual adventures there and combine their notes for a fair, unbiased look at some of the best/worst/weirdest gaming Boston has to offer

A collection of six tales set throughout the Star Trek galaxy, each by a different creative team and featuring a different Star Trek alien race. Stories of the Gorn, Vulcans, Andorians, Orions, the Borg, and Romulans along with guest-stars such as Captains Kirk and Pike, and Mr. Spock. Having a couple of hardcore Trekkie's on this show just served to degrade it into a 3-minute geekout.
