Whether it be in our business life or our personal life, trust is absolutely critical. In business, if you don’t trust someone, then you’re not going to do business with them. Also if you don’t trust your team members to do the particular work that you want them to carry out, and to the quality that you want them to carry it out to, then you’re going to end up either micro-managing them, or not delegating to them. Equally in your personal life, if you don’t trust someone – then you’re constantly going to be second-guessing them. You’ll develop paranoia and will want to know every little detail of their goings-on. And just like your team members, if you can’t trust them to do something, then it’s only going to lead to challenges in the relationship. Have you ever noticed that there are things in your life that you don’t want to experience, and yet the more you don’t want to experience them, the more of what you don’t want shows up. Take for example you don’t want to experience having a lack of money or to experience a lack of health, or poor relationships. Yet the more you resist wanting to experience these things – the more circumstances or events show up in your life that you end up experiencing more lack of money, or more ill health, or more poor relationships. And then on the other side – when there are things that you do want and desire to have; then the opposite of what you desire starts to show up. So in other words when you desire to have more money in your life, or better health, or better relationships  - the more you desire it, then the more of what you didn’t want to have happen, happens. So what’s happening. Well on this episode of The Executive Code podcast, I explain why when you’re resisting something, more of it shows up in your life. And when you desire something, its opposite shows up. When you learn this – your life becomes a whole lot easier.

There’s a natural balance or a natural resting state for an object where it is balanced between opposing forces. This state is called equilibrium. If you take a pendulum, while it is vertical and in rest, it is in a state of equilibrium. When a force is brought to bear on the pendulum – meaning it is moved to the right or to the left, the pendulum will now be in either a positive state or a negative state. And depending on how far you move the pendulum to one side, or in other words the arc that you create by moving the pendulum to one side, then the pendulum will swing back past the equilibrium point to the other side, and will form the same size arc on the other side. So how does this affect us in our lives? Well on this episode of The Executive Code podcast, I explain how this plays out in our lives in multiple ways and also how the Universe gets us back into equilibrium.

Most people will have heard the story of Acres of Diamonds by Russell Conwell and what they believe is that it’s just a story about a farmer that went in search of riches only to discover that the farm that he once owned was in fact the largest diamond mining field ever found. What is forgiveness and what does it mean? Well, psychologists generally define forgiveness as a conscious, deliberate decision to release feelings of resentment toward a person who has harmed you, regardless of whether they actually deserve your forgiveness or not. And we’ve been told that we should forgive others – we were just never told exactly how to! We can understand why we should forgive others, because as they say – it’s like holding a hot coal in our hand – the only person that’s getting hurt is ourselves, until we let it go. But how do we forgive?
