While most of our guests are going to be current or former track coaches, from time to time we'd like to connect you with someone you might not know of in the track world yet plays a vital role. This week's guest is a hidden gem in the track and field world as he is an events supervisor for the Cit of Albuquerque. For the past 15 years, Stephen has been instrumental in the building (and tear down) of one of the top track's in the country, the home track of the University of New Mexico. Mixed it up with Zac in Albuquerque at the NCAA indoor championships. He was gracious enough to spend time with me while he prepared his athlete for their first indoor national championships. It was great learning about Towson's incredible indoor season, the Ashland experience, and so much more.

I can't tell you how much fun I had with this interview with the great and powerful Kebba Tolbert. Even after knowing him for nearly 20 years, I continue to learn more and more about his fascinating life as a child growing up in the Bronx, as well as what mentors he had and their affect on his life even to this day. Before time ran out we started delving into his passion for the Star Wars legacy and we learned he named one of his kids after a major character in the movie. Guess which one?

Lucky to be joined by the pole vault coach at Harvard University. Brenner shares with us his shortened collegiate pole vault career and how that led him into coaching. We take a deep dive into his business ownership of a skate and surf shop. And how he works with his athletes to create their own individual balance scale between academics, athletics, and social.
