Tom Girardi and his Law Firm Girardi Keese were sued 11 times in 2020 in Los Angles alone. That isn’t counting the Divorce filed by his wife Real Housewife of Beverly Hills Erika Jayne, or the federal case involving the Lion Air disaster. The wave of cases in December 2020 pushed creditors to file an involuntary chapter 7 bankruptcy petition, which was later granted. The Bankruptcy court now has the Sisyphean task of unraveling the accounting and lawsuits as well as the ongoing client matters that Girardi Keese was handling. While all of that was happening Tom Girardi’s brother sought an appointment as a Guardian Ad Lietim in the Bankruptcy Court and sought a conservatorship in the LA Superior Court. On Monday 2-1-21 the conservatorship was granted on a temporary basis.
