The Give Me Five Podcast: An Uncultured Look at Pop Culture and Nostalgia

While recording it seemed like we were having another eclectic week. I mean what do these things have in common: A non-fiction film about a serial killer's girlfriend, Netflix'sExtremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile. A fun family film about cute little monsters trying to solve a crime, Detective Pikachu. And then Jimmy brought Shudder's Critters: The New Binge to the table, and it occurred to me we may have created an equation.

We even have a guest reviewer for Detective Pikachu, a real-life 6-year old for those parents out there deciding whether or not the film is safe for kids.

We also have some fun taste testing things Rob tells us to eat. (never let Rob tell you to put things in your mouth)

And our question of the week:What are the 5 best live-action kids films from the 80's?

Remember if you use our link (https://amzn.to/2KxR8OU) we get a little bit of money towards server costs at no extra cost to you. So go ahead and buy that Infinity Gauntlet you've always wanted.

The battle to end all battles is here. Daenerys' forces are amassing at King's Landing. Dany has taken a few losses over this season, but will she win the one thing she feels is owed to her. Will her dragon survive the scorpion lined walls of King's landing? Will all these losses drive her mad like her father? Who will win, lose, survive, face their demons or succumb to them. Will the Clegane Bowl happen? Will Jamie go back to Cersei to embrace her or kill her? So many questions are answered over the course of the 1hr 20 min episode, and one giant question is left to answer. Who will sit on the Iron Throne? (if it is still there)

Join us as we break down all of the twists and turns.

And remember to check out all of our Game of Thrones Recaps over the next few weeks and our regular review show as well.

The fall TV season is coming to a close so we had a moment to catch up on some streaming titles. So we checked out a Netflix documentary on the Delta Blues pioneer Robert Johnson, ReMastered Devil at the Crossroads. This documentary gives you a look into the all too short life of one of the most influential people in American music history. Then we checked out Black Summer, and well.. it will not be one of the most influential things in American tv history.

Also, we covered the season finale of the Orville and the series finale of Gotham. Does Batman show up? (on either show really)

And our question of the week:What are the 5 best time jumps in television history?

The Battle of Winterfell is over, having come to a shocking conclusion, well, we think, it was kinda dark. Our heros are mourning the dead and celebrating their victory. But we all know what is on the horizon. (more war and some giant crossbows). We also chat a bit about pet ownership and responsibility and whatever the heck Bran was up to. Join us as we recap season 8 episode 4, The Last of the Starks.

22 Movies led up to this moment. Over the past 10 years Marvel studios has built a cinematic universe unlike any that has ever been seen on screen. Their efforts paid off this week with the release of Avengers: Endgame, a massive film full of fan-favorite characters, impressive action sequences, and huge stakes. We recap and review the movie and add in our own thoughts and experiences.
