She also talks about the role of self-compassion in mental health and gives tools that people can use to begin taking care of themselves if they're struggling with chronic undercurrent of anxiety, overwhelm, burnout and anger.

Deepika Mulchandani is the founder, psychotherapist, body movement therapist and relationship therapist at The Open Connections. The Open Connections is a company she has dedicated to the practice of and education on a trauma-informed, relational and holistic approach toward mental health.
After years of studying and practicing as a mental health professional in various settings, Deepika began to pursue her interest in learning about the interconnection between relational health, holistic health and mental health. This interest has stemmed from her own personal experience of receiving a chronic pain syndrome diagnosis at the age of 24 and from her work experience in a therapeutic group home for teens with early life trauma (the first of its kind in Singapore).
Deepika holds a Master Degree in Professional Counselling, Mindfulness-based Cognitive Therapy and a practitioner certificate in Couple, Family & Systemic Therapy which include Attachment-Based Therapy. She is also a yoga practitioner who was one of the participants in a 20 hours trauma sensitive yoga workshop conducted in Singapore. She is on her way to pursue her certification as a Trauma Sensitive Yoga therapist.
Before setting up her own practice, Deepika has had the privilege of working as a psychotherapist, relationship therapist and case consultant at various settings including therapeutic group home, community services, social- emotional learning programs, educational institutions and a private healthcare clinic.
