For over ten years he ran a West End theatre in London's Leicester Square (home to the Boy George musical “TABOO”) as well as a successful Ballroom and Latin Dancing Club.

He produced a triple platinum selling album for the Japanese band 'Buck Tick'; co-produced the UK Eurovision entry in 2001 for Lindsay Dracass and toured the UK and Europe with Phil Collins as one of 'Mike and the Mechanics', becoming their vocal arranger on the 'Rewired' album. He returned to live performance in 2009 with the Scottish Supergroup 'Four Good Men' and as lead vocalist for XSM ( Ex Simple Mind ) which featured original members Derek Forbes and Brian McGee.

In January 2014 Owen released “The One” his first official single in the UK since 1987, following this with the release of the album “About Time II” in the autumn of the same year.

November 2016 brought the release of two brand new versions of My Favourite Waste of Time (Part One and Part Two) to celebrate its 30th Anniversary, plus a multitude of dance remixes.

He has released 11 tracks since 2020 including the Heritage Chart number 1 'Beauty of the Sun' and a Lockdown chorus version of My Favourite Waste of Time which featured guest artists Toyah, Glen Matlock, Lee John, Carol Decker, Cheryl Baker and many more.

He is currently recording a new album of Americana/Folk originals, and tours with Owen Paul's 80's and on his own as a solo artist.

Winner of the Royal Philharmonic Society's Singer Award, Jennifer Johnston is a former BBC New Generation Artist, and a graduate of Cambridge University and the Royal College of Music. She has enjoyed close collaborations with both the Bayerische Staatsoper, where she has sung over 80 performances as a guest artist and with whom she won Recording of the Year at the Gramophone Awards for Korngold's Die Tote Stadt, and the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra, for whom she was their Artist-In-Residence for two seasons.

It all started in my parents garden shed when I was about eleven. With a wonky video camera and some lamps taken from the house, I got to work building my own TV studio! Hollywood, move over! In my homemade studio, I would host talent shows, deliver breaking news from the neighbourhood and run my media empire!

From that young age I was hooked, and over the years I worked in various radio and TV stations eventually ending up as a reporter on RTÉ, Ireland's national broadcaster. There I worked for one of the country's longest running shows, Nationwide, and the hugely popular TODAY Show.

Then, then New York started calling and I moved to the big apple where I worked with various networks like AP, the BBC, and ABC. For five years I travelled across the US covering incredible human interest stories, many of them you can see and hear on my site.

Today I'm based in Rome covering the Vatican and Pope Francis for EWTN, a global Catholic TV network and the largest religious broadcaster in the world. I also continue to produce content for the BBC World Service and RTÉ in Ireland. My reports/programmes today still lean towards human interest stories, with a focus on themes and issues around human rights, religious expression, and overcoming adversity.

Someday, I hope to return to the shed and build a new studio. Work in progress

Biography

Steve is an actor, writer, comedian, juggler, a "Gillard award" winning presenter on BBC Radio Lancashire and now a finalist on ITV's Britain's Got Talent 2020.

Steve most recently completed his 17th consecutive pantomime at The Grand Theatre, Blackpool (and his 22nd Pantomime in total) and was also made an honourary member of The Friends Of The Grand in 2016 for his services to the theatre.

Last year he starred, to critical acclaim, in the World premier tour of "Naturally Insane: The Life of Dan Leno" and is taking the show to the West End (Criterion Theatre).

In 2015 he performed 16 nights at The Manchester Arena as part of the "Phoenix Nights Live" show, helping raise well over £ 5 million in the process. He also appeared at the London Palladium twice within a month later that year when he performed as part of the TV show "Sunday Night At The Palladium" and as warm-up for "One Night With Neil Diamond".

He spent many years as "Special Guest" on Dave Spikey's Tours and has supported several other top comedic names including Peter Kay, Mick Miller, Roy Walker and The Lancashire Hotpots! He was also the first comic, ever, to act as "Warm-up" for The Royal Variety Show featuring Take That, Rod Stewart, Barry Manilow and Meatloaf.

For over 12 years Steve could be found in the guise of "Mad Edgar" the court jester at Camelot theme park where he presented over 2000 "Crazy Juggling Shows".

For years, the father-of-three has been encouraged by family and friends to audition for Britain's Got Talent, but didn't expect to get far. However in August 2020, Steve became the first act sent through to the final, impressing judges with his comedy juggling routines.

For 51-year-old Steve, this is the latest journey in a rich history in the world of entertainment.

Steve previously charmed the judges in the audition round, with his impressive juggling skills, using his mouth to juggle ping-pong balls before juggling three guitars.

His semi final performance was a huge change for Steve, who is used to feeding off an audiences live reaction - the show had to be pre-recorded this year due to the coronavirus pandemic, and social distancing, and saw Steve perform to a huge Zoom wall of viewers, as well as the shows judges.

The judges unanimously chose to send him through. As Ant and Dec confirmed the news, Steve said it was "crazy and unbelievable" that he had made it through, although he left the entire panel in stitches.

The grand final took place in October 2020 and Steve was placed third overall. Which was a wonderful conclusion to an amazing run on the show. And Steve is looking forward to seeing you on tour next year. So watch this space.

Dame Andrea Marie Jenkyns DBE (born 16 June 1974) is a British politician who served as the Member of Parliament for Morley and Outwood from 2015 to 2024.

Jenkyns was first elected as the Conservative Member of Parliament for Morley and Outwood in West Yorkshire at the 2015 general election, defeating Shadow Chancellor Ed Balls.[2][3] She was an advocate for the Eurosceptic organisation Leave Means Leave and a strong critic of Theresa May's handling of Brexit during her leadership of the Conservative Party.[4][5] Jenkyns served as Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for Skills from July to October 2022, when she was dismissed by new Prime Minister Rishi Sunak. She failed to win re-election to the successor seat of Leeds South West and Morley at the 2024 general election.[6]

Early life and career

Andrea Jenkyns was born in Beverley, Humberside. After leaving school at 16, she worked at the Greggs bakery.[7] When she was 18, Jenkyns' father sent her photo off to a beauty pageant, and she eventually reached the final of Miss UK.[8] In her late thirties, Jenkyns studied for a degree in Economics from the Open University and in International Relations from the University of Lincoln.[9]
