The Author

Peter Boaz Jones was born Klaus Jurgen Clodt in Albrechts, Germany towards the end of WW2. In 1948 he moved with his family to the UK. A German name at that time would have made life extremely difficult for him, so for all the obvious reasons his name was changed to Peter Jones. What it is today, came about by using his father’s last name, as a middle name, as his bank in the 90s requested he use one. When I look at Peter’s life, I think it would be fair to say that he has pursued a variety of Christian denominations some of whom he no longer has an affiliation to, and others still breathe Christian values that are important to him. Similarly, when you look at his working life, he has again dabbled his toes into a cross section of professions, accountancy to HGV driver, just to name but two of them.  I think it would be open-minded of me to say that Peter has walked many paths of interest in his life, but the one overriding factor that has been constant throughout his time on this planet has been the Bible and what that book has revealed to him I think I can justifiably say forms the basis of his highly interesting book that we are about to reveal.

So, let’s take the latch off the door and enter Peter Boaz Jones’ world of Christian thinking, as we uncloak the contents of this very absorbing book.

The Book

This is a well-executed and cultivated submission, showing how well the four gospels really do work well in relation to each other depicting the life and ministry of Jesus, despite their individual formations that some in the Christian communities see and judge as slightly being at odds with each other. What Peter has successfully achieved here by drawing attention to the similarities and differences in each gospel is giving the reader differing angles to consider and contemplate on, sufficient to want them to delve further into the book to ascertain what really is at the heart of his ideological thinking.

When you open the book apart from the dedication, acknowledgements, notes, introduction and appendices sections there are fifty-four wonderfully compiled chapters. Now in this interview we are not going into all aspects of the book, but as a means of giving you a flavour as to what you can expect the following chapters will be openly discussed, they are:

Chapter 1: The Beginning of the Gospel
Chapter 6: Jesus Begins to Call his Disciples
Chapter 9: On the Mount
Chapter 18: By Seaside Near Jesus’ House
Chapter 30: Contraposition of Pharisees
Chapter 35: The Work of the Spirit
Chapter 39: Rides into Jerusalem Again
Chapter 49: Jesus’ Death

Enjoy the book is all I say, as Peter Boaz Jones takes you on a Christian journey with a twist.
