March 13, 2022 E-163: Navigating Pain, Suffering, and Loss God's Way!
We are lacking in so many ways, but we often don't realize it until we go through some deep, agonizing, and prolonged pain, suffering, and loss. Pain, suffering, and loss will wake you up to that fact.
In his book, The Problem of Pain, C.S. Lewis so aptly said, "We can ignore even pleasure. But pain insists upon being attended to. God whispers to us in our pleasures, speaks in our conscience, but shouts in our pains: it is His megaphone to rouse a deaf world.”
It's so true. When life is going well ... when life is pain and problem free ... we are often lacking, dull, distracted, self-absorbed, arrogant, and even disobedient. Pain, suffering, and loss can actually be one of the best things that happens to us (if we respond to it the right way).
I don't always respond to it the right way. God has been teaching me how I need to respond. We look at Philippians 4:4-9.

January 22, 2022 E-160: Canada Outlaws Evangelism to L-G-B-T-Q!
On this episode, I talk about the new Canadian law referred to as "Conversion Therapy" ... which Canadian lawmakers define as any counseling or advising against transgender or nonbinary identity or non-heterosexual sexuality (even if the young person or adult requests counseling or advising on those matters). This new Canadian law essentially criminalizes evangelism to LGBTQ.
So how do we as Christian men/leaders need to respond to this? Plain and simple = "We must obey God rather than men." - Acts 5:29. Period. Listen to learn more.
