For the last five or so years I’ve tended to wake early, meditate, journal, pull an oracle card and go for a walk.
I know how good I feel after engaging in this daily ritual, and the benefits of a morning rhythm are also backed up by science.
In this episode, I share a reflection of what happened when I changed up my morning rhythm!

Danielle Brophy is a financial coach, CPA & Financial Planner. Through her business, Money Wellbeing, she teaches women how to master business profitability, build wealth & enhance their financial wellbeing.
Danielle believes that when we think about wellbeing, it is common for people to overlook financial wellbeing. The truth is, finances, physical health, mental health – it is actually all inter-related. Gains in one area are going to have a ripple effect in other areas of your life too. And at The Gut-Mind Collective, we couldn’t agree more!
Although Danielle has both an accounting and financial planning practice which keep her busy, she is currently focusing her energies on ‘Money Wellbeing’.
She feels this part of her brand has a greater emphasis on assisting women to build wealth and have a better relationship with their money.

When you see the next person you will interact with today, take a moment to say in your mind, “I wish for you to be happy” as you greet them. Repeat this as many times as you remember to do so today.
"Our task must be to free ourselves from this prison by widening our circle of compassion to embrace all living creatures and the whole of its beauty." Albert Einstein
By cultivating forgiveness towards yourself, self-love and self-kindness this opens the doors to healing.
One of the reasons why it can be so hard to fall asleep at night is because we often have these feelings of agitation or worry or planning. Have you noticed this?
In this meditation, you will prepare yourself for sleep by bringing awareness to the things that you're grateful for.
Other mindfulness practices for emotions typically include ‘acceptance’ instructions to allow you to experience the transient nature of difficult or painful emotions. This meditation focuses on emotional awareness only and does not guide you through the process of emotional acceptance.
REFLECTION: Take the time to reflect on your experience of the meditation, writing as much detail as you possibly can in your journal.
This is a great meditation to tune into just after waking. Create a sense of appreciation and gratitude for your day, carrying the spirit of non-judgment in your heart.
“If you want to turn your life around, try thankfulness. It will change your life mightily.” - Gerald Good
Reflection: Write a list of your personal possessions that are provided, made or created by others. See how much gratitude can be generated by your list.
